Very special by the hotel staff at breakfast and then close the subway next to an Italian restaurant with the chef of a new structure called catania fabulous O2 arena and the Olympics going to be really afraid .. ... all reviews » The hotel was very nice , new and clean . it was very easy to find .the hotel staff were very helpful , both on our arrival and at othertimes . the room was lovely , well appointed , comfortable and clean .all in all , a very pleasant stay , would recommend and woulddefinately use again. At the price offered I thought it was a great place to stay for a weekend stop in London.The only niggle was that my satnav told me I had arrived at the hotelabout 400 metres from the actual site, twice, in two different places.They should give coordinates so that gps can be set for them ifpostcodes do not work properly. there was a group of guys staying on the floor smoking allot of hash, it would smell our room out everynow and then. i didnt telll the staff cause i didnt want them to feel underpreasure to talk to that kind of people.no there was nothing I disliked. Every day the same breakfast. Room was a non smoking ,but still smelt of smoke. Wolud of preferred it to be a non-smoking hotel. none. nothing. It took me a while to get to grips with how the lights worked because I wasn't told at reception that I needed to use the key card!! I did find the temperature in the hotel was too hot. I found the pillows uncomfortable was they were too firm, but that seems to be the norm for alot of hotels so I would suggest anyone who likes a little bit of home comfort and can space the luggage space to take their own. Only change I would make is the option to have a cooked breakfast; only a continental is available.the breakfast although discribed as continental could have included a selection of sandwhich meats, but was fine for what it was. Further away from Canary Wharfe than we thought. . No grapefruit on Saturday/Sunday. Option to have warm breads orther than toast for breakfast. We were going to a concert at the O2, and opted for this hotel because it was about 3/4 mile away (easy walking distance) However, it is not actually possible to walk from the hotel to the O2 as there is no way of getting over the river. Hotel arranged a cab, using an "Executive" firm, and one way cab cost us £18.00. Coming back we got a black cab, which cost £10. I'd recommend that instead. James Blunt on a loop in the bar!!. no bar meals at weekend. Booked a taxi by reception staff who then ripped us off. bit concerned about the cars on the car park that had been broken into. Gave us some concerns about the area and safety. Appreciate this is not something the hotel has much control over. Dont come down to breakfast too late. I noticed that the rolls did not seem to be replenished and after 8.30am there was little choice left.
