The location was incredible. You couldn't get more central if you tried. Walk to Buckingham Palace (5 mins), overlooking Green Park, neighbours to St. James Palace and the Ritz. Hop on Hop Off Buses around the corner. Bond Street (5min) walk. Picadilly and Oxford Circus easy walks (15-20 minutes). Underground around the corner... Great apartments - spacious, clean and very comfortable. There are only security guards at the building, doubling as reception staff. Some are more helpful than others when it comes to assistance with directions, etc. Space, lots of it. Rooms are big, really big for London. Location was perfect for all we needed to do. Kitchen was massive and very well equipped with dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, range cooktop and conventional and microwave oven and a full size fridge. We loved everything actually, from the warm welcome by the porter to the spacious rooms, the air condition, the bathrooms, the main porters immediate help when needed. To reach the elevators, you needs to go down two sets of 8 stairs making very difficult access for baby pushchairs and impossible for handicaps access. The booking site should not say this venue is accessible by elevator! Internet is a paid service. The only thing which got me annoyed is the noise from the yard. There were some construction works atb that moment. There are currently 2 construction sites across the road. It looks like 2 x approx 5 storey buildings are being built, and they are only just about to come out of the ground. Noise begins about 8 a.m. Not a problem for us because we were out seeing the sites by mid-morning. Room was slightly tired, in need of a spruce up. Lounge area was let down by a lack of a lounge settee you could lay on, could do with a modular. We paid rack rate and it was a bit exy. staff not very helpful. The doorman service needs to be more personal and closer to the residents it really makes a big difference when in a new city. The elevator has this auto announcer "going up, going down" which is very loud and you can hear it from the rooms closer to the elevator. Bedside lamps in the room will be useful and the beds can have more comfortable duvets to match the standard of the apartment. Limited TV channes available, extra fee for internet access, no bedside lamp. The concierge is not always attended to. In addition, it would be highly desirable to have some plants or flower decorations in the apartments. The terrace outside the apartment did not have a single tree/small plant. bedding not great, toiletries insufficient, no cleaning on weekends, no wi-fi / exorbitant wi-fi fees, lighting not working on most switches, no guest toilet facilities in foyer, nobody answers the phone on weekends. Main studio room just slightly on the small side and very little hanging space. For an apartment of this quality and price I would expect some tea bags/coffee in the kitchen and a hair dryer and box of tissues in the bathrooms. The shower in the bath did not work, so we could only use the shower room. We don't have something for cleaning shoes. The stand up showers were quite difficult to work and hot water was missing at times. The kitchen was well equiped, but it would have been nice to include laundry detergent & paper towels (the essentials). more assistance and friendlyness from the front desk could be given. The taps in the bathroom, full on or full off no in between. The shower taps a little complex too. Oddity one would expect, no big deal. Can't really fault the residence. Arriving after a long flight at 8pm I did not like being locked out in the cold for 30 minutes before a tenant kindly let me in. There was no one at the front desk for 40 minutes. I did not like you taking money from my visa without notification you were going to do so. This includes a bond payment that was never mentioned in the inititial information. I understand it will be returned but I needed to know at the initial booking the date when payments would be made against my Visa card. none. Nothing. internet should be free...the bathroom faucet is not good... i didnt like the renovations going on in the unit above me all day. Quite noisy outside. The restaurants empty their bottle bins just after midnight. Shower in en-suite not working for entire stay. my only complain is the stuff .. they are not helpful at all and they are not friendly. Kitchen was not adequately supplied. No wine glasses. No napkins or paper towel for wipe up. Other dishware and flatware was supplied to satisfaction. &Quot;Concierge" like services could have been better. Not much assistance provided. Cable/Satellite tv available but access/operation not explained either by written fact sheet or person on duty at desk. *Not flexible (asked for late check out the manger was so tough and the assistant as well ) . *No free wi-fi *No clear procedures for check in or check out. (I checked in & out without signing on any paper ). Staff needs to be more informative. No business centre on weekend. No coffee mugs and the dainty Wedgwood china service was beautiful. However; not very practical. I admit it was in keeping with the location and the apartment. Didn't like that the cleaning people didn't give fresh towels each day. They actually used the ones we had on the floor. That was disgusting! Wifi wasn't very good in all the rooms. Given the cost of the appartment, I felt it unreasonable to charge $20 a day for wi-fi access. I also felt it was unreasonable to charge for two extra towels in a week. Every other hotel or appartment we stayed at during our 6 week trip provided free wi-fi and extra towels without further charge. cooking/food 'take away' smells from other users. TV preset menus in Russian/Greek (or something) and hence unable to clear 'on screen' text, it was a Holiday w/e so no staff available to assist. Nothing.

This is not a wheelchair accessible property. Arlington House Apartments charges a holding deposit within 72 hours of your arrival date. This is refunded after departure ensuring all of the following have been adhered to: (a) All bills are paid and all keys are returned. (b) All contents, utensils and appliances are left in a perfectly clean and working condition. (c) If dry cleaning or steam cleaning is required to furnishings and carpets after departure an appropriate amount will be deducted. (d) All broken, missing or soiled items on the inventory are replaced or relevant costs paid. However this changes depending on the length of stay: 3 night stay - 1 nights accommodation 3 to 6 nights stay - 2 nights accommodation 6 to 12 nights - 5 nights accommodation 12 Nights or more please contact the apartments Please note that there is a porter service 24 hours a day. A light cleaning service, including general cleaning, vacuuming and bed-making, takes place 5 days a week, but does not include personal maid services. Towels and linens are changed weekly. Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. Please inform Arlington House Apartments in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation.
