We had a fantastic stay here. It is just 7/9 mins walk from London Bridge Tube along a street with cafes, art galleries, boutiques and pubs. Tower Bridge is a 10 minute walk and London Bridge tube is 4/5 stops from Kings Cross on the Northern Line. I had a conference at Glaziers Hall and it was a short walk in the morning. In comparison with what is available in the same price range The Maltings is in a class of it,s own Modern, clean , secure and only 5mins from london bridge St.
all reviews » Lovely clean apartment, everything worked and building noise not especially intrusive. Very good value compared to nearby hotels. I'll definitely stay again. we were moved to tanner st. It was in a perfect position for us (near southbank etc). Price and size of apartment very good.it's near to tube station, easy access. apartment as seen in photo gallery. excellent quality. The shower was amazing. The furniture was very comfortable and all the equipment provided was new and in working condition.First of all I liked the location of the hotel. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The hotel is new and modern. Really nice and comfortable. Had all the necessary essentials.Friendly helpful staff and great value for money. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and all the utensils needed for cooking were provied. Very clean well equipped apartment in a great location. Our apartment was very well furnished and very comfortable. Comfortable appartment, but lots of building still going on. Underfloor heating difficult to regulate, it was too hot.Location was convenient, and at £69 a night it is priced about right. The apartment was very nice and confortable. Fully furnished.Good location, it's near to famous tourist location. The room is big for the price and comfortable room and bed. If you don't mind living in a construction site - this is the hotel for you! Wall drilling, door slamming and shouting starts at 8am sharp and goes on until 5pm (Sundays excepted). But it was really quiet during the night and the room, although rather small was very new and clean (plus free Wi-Fi!).There is building work still going on as the apts are new but that did not bother us as it started at 8am and finished at 5pm and was not intrusive to us during the day. It would not stop me staying there as they are nearly finished, just best to be aware of it. Looks like corners were cut when apartments converted so that wood used on bathroom and kitchen has started to go black and looks unsightly and will need replacing.The only thing I can grumble about was that there was no dustban and broom. I know it sounds petty but it's necessary to have some accessible cleaning equipment. For visitors who come from the Continent it is advisable to have their own adaptors for British standard sockets. Otherwise they will not be able to charge their mobile phones, cameras and use their laptops.the noise of the builders and smallish apartment. slightly cold in corridors - i realise its still a building site!. The automatic light in the bathroom was annoying. check in time (14.00) too late considering check out time at 10.00. Still a building site / work in progress. Shower unuseable as no cold water to temper hot. Problem with entry in evening ~ outside door did not open on keying in instructions and appartment key also did not work for me, had to get receptionist. The facility is still really a building site, and only partly open. It was impossible to stay in bed beyond 8 even if I had wanted to because of the construction noise. Because its new there are a number of annoying things that dont work properly, ie one light that wont switch off at night, the light sensor in the bathroom going off when you are in the shower, etc .Not a lot of space, but its ok. The kitchen has no knife and washing liquid. Heaters are not working occasionally. My room is located near to railway, really noisy in the morning.A couple of earplugs would definitely compliment otherwise rather decent set of the room amenities.
