the comfort and one of the porters James went that extra mile for us. relaxed atmosphere food was good room with a view across the water. relaxed, friendly atmosphere, plenty of comfy chairs to relax in. the peace and tranquility and staff were very helpful. we was allowed to do as we pleased no one bothered us unless we asked for information etc. we where very pleased with our stay and would recomend this hotel. all reviews »
Location, family friendly,bar prices. nice comfortable feeling.See above re breakfast. Cleanliness of room was excelent, very good buffet breakfast, staff friendlyand healpful excelent location for other facilities in the town. The choice of entertainment.. Friendly Staf. not much. Cheap and cheerful and entertainment fairly good.Tje breakfast was really nice. the location. Friendly atmosphere and pleasant helpful staff. The nightly entertainment is good - no need to go out. Buffet food only warm, not very hot at all.The hotel I thought was better than I expected, being a large hotel withmany rooms I thought it might be shabby and tired but it was not, it wascomfy and relaxing atmosphere. as a business user there was no breakfast before 8 to 8.30 in the morning which is too late for many business users aswell as not getting what you paid for.This is our second stay (Discount? - standard rooms without sea views are pretty boring and expensive for what you get. Need definite update and decorating. Confusion at the reception on our arrival. We had booked on the Internet and the hotel system was down which I appreciate can make booking in a little difficult. However we were very disappointed to be given a dark dingy room looking out onto nothing! We asked for another room and were eventually given a reasonable room with a lovely view. The breakfast was cold in the morning.service of the breckfast staff we asked if we have tea 3 times and noone brought any to us. room duvet covers same six seven years ago out dated. the structure of the ballroom for veiwing. Very basic.The original standard room was well below standard and we paid to upgrade to the premier room which was average. The decor needs completely updating unless you actually like emulsioned woodchip and electrical wiring was exposed in the bathroom. Although it is a beautiful Victorian building I wouldn't recommend the Grand Hotel, Llandudno. i booked on the thursday on arrival the next the walk in price was half of what i had paid 12hrs earlie. Bathroom smelt - chaos for buffett meals and not very well presented. we should have refused our room as the stench of tobaco smoke was appalling, complained on the desk on leaving and have since phoned to make a complaint but unable to speak to manager,. asked for a sea view room when i booked.got a room the other side of the hotel.they wanted an extra 5 pound a night per person to upgrade to sea view room.rooms were small and out dated.with very noisy floor boards.and windows that hardly opened. unable to book premier room on line and none available on arrival.standard rooms poor. No parking near the hotel. tacky ,run down, dirty. The room I was initially allocated was an "upgrade" to a sea view.The room was only big enough for a single bed but had a double squeezed in,Tiny wardrobe and TV two non opening windows, dirty and stained carpets,cheap mattress with lumpy springs.urine soiled armchair.the room was an triangular shape and was the worst hotel room imaginable. £110 bandb a joke.The noise from the karaoke can be heard in the rooms up till 2a.m.,creeking noise of the floor,lack of parking(no parking area at all), the room was very dirty (dusty) we had to call the porter to vacuum the carpet and walls.The teapots needs destaining and some of the plates are chipped.Mouldy wall and wall paper hanging off the wall.we have to moved rooms three times... tatty hotel, tiny room, filthy bathroom and poor food. everything!! floor boards noisy..premier rooms were like a cheap bandb..walls and bathroom dirty..shower underpowered! breakfast set up was stupid, staff didnt know where tables were set up and food was cold. rooms very poor from clenliness and size. the 1st room we were put in was like a holding cell looking at a brick wall. glad we did not pay to stay for a week.all of it,and it's not grand. everything else, particularly poor valu toyally run down.
