the view from the penthouse balcony was fabulous and the concierge was chatty and helpful. I would really recommend that you stay here. excellent for mum dad and adult daughter, which would have meant 2 hotel rooms at much greater expense. The extra room compared to a hotel. The location. The concierge. Close to shop, market, bus station. The central location was good and the modern spec. We arrived late and left early so we weren't able to make full use of the facilities. all reviews »
Ease of coming and going, benefit of extra space as an apartment, decor, modern facilities. Thae fact that it was a one bedromm apartment, which gave teh joys of a fully fitted kitchen. When staying in hotels a lot being able to eat as at home was a huge bonus. The apartment appeared brand new. location. ease of access to city centre. Location. Meeting up with old friends. Lack of towels when we arrived. No wiping round cloth for the kitchen. The bathroom wasn't very clean (quite dirty around sink) and all the mugs were still dirty. I had to wash then all up before we could use them. Bed was very small, not even double. Considering how new the apartments are there was noticiable damage/imperfections to the walls. Low quality standards. I did not like the appaerance of the building, it was grey stone and did not look particularly well kept - not too sure how safe I felt on the first night, fine on the second. Think that may have just been due to the difference of not being a hotel. uncomfortable furniture and lack of basics, eg. tea/coffee/toilet roll. lift not working. furniture broken dirty furniture and marks all over the walls. The bed was far too soft to use. I would expect a thoroughly cleaned room: dust was present on most surfaces. The walls required re-painting to remove marks even though it was mentioned clearly in the contract that such re-decorations were chargable in case of accidental damage so presumably this wuld cost nothing to see to. Cups were not all cleaned properly. Black rubbish bags on the walkways. The apartment was a real let down to what we expected and the cleanliness was not up to satisfaction. when we arrived after a 4 hour drive there was no one there to let us in, we had to wait over 20 mins for someone to arrive. My husband and daughter were furious plus they didn't have any 2 bedroom apartments like we requested so put us in a one bedroom apartment. We were not happy.
