A lovely little retreat. Yet still close enough to busier places. Food and the attentive bar staff and waiting staff in restaurant.Setting is very good, close to Chester and main motorways, but quiet atnight. Breakfast was good. Very Quiet with comfortable beds ensuring a good nights' sleep. Great value, high quality family room with good facilities. area / comfort / food. Friendly and helpful staff. Food good but rather expensive. Easy access from motorways.Large and pleasant grounds. The hotel facilities and ambience. The Spa was excellent. the position of the hotel. the health club, the staff were friendly. It was a perfectly pleasant hotel and the room was very comfortable. room was warm.bed comfortable. dinner was good .We had to wait quite a long time for someone to arrive to serve us in the bar in the evening. Some baby listening facilities would have been an enormous help. Drinks pricey. Expensive bar and restaurant. meals was a bit deare. The bed - I could feel the springs on the mattress and my side and back are now very painful.Lack of pathways around the grounds. I would have liked slippers and robes in rooms. Room service meal was expensive, and the quality was not great. the bed was very lumpy. room service was expensive. No character and rather soulless - had not realised it was basically a conference hotel. We were looking for something a bit more individual. couldnt easily see tv from bed. wine with dinner was overpriced.very expensive for one night bb. breakfast was very slow, not good selection, staff never even botherd answering question on did hotel cater for people with food intolenances therfore ended up with no breakfast!.
