I can only describe our stay as absolutely..... flippin..... fabulous. The staff were welcoming from start to finish. The apartment was immaculate. The extras (champagne, beers, gin, vodka, soft drinks, chocolates, fruit basket, food to make a cooked breakfast, fresh bread and much, much more) were excellent. The bed was both huge (queen size) and extremely comfy. There was nothing we wanted or needed that wasn't there. Even a dishwasher and washing machine! Perfect.

A great location on Bootham Terrace. Only minutes from centre of York. The apartment contains all one would require for a stay. It was large enough for four persons without getting in each others way. Elevator to the apartment was a bonus and good security. Marmadukes is a fabulous hotel. We have been coming here annually since 2006 and have stayed in most of the room styles. However, this latest trip was particularly memorable as we received a free upgrade on arrival to the York Suite. It was stunning. And to think we had the whole of the suite for the same price as our original booking was a great touch. Staff at the hotel are lovely - friendly, accomodating and always on hand to offer advice or book a taxi. Location is ideal, in a leafy street

We had an 8 month old baby with us and the guest house were great with accommodating him - cot and high chair provided. They also assisted us with drying some of his clothes which was fabulous.
The breakfasts were amazing.
Also, the rooms were reasonably sound proof which helped our baby get a good night's sleep and also meant other guests didn't hear him!

The owners were welcoming and friendly and the accommodation was warm, clean and comfortable. From the minute we arrived we were made to feel very welcome at the Aaron Guest House. Its location was excellent only a short walk into York centre with some lovely pubs and restaurants near by.
Breakfast each morning was lovely, a great start to the day.
We would recommend a stay here to anyone, couples or familys alike.
Julian and his wife run a very warm and friendly B&B and we'll definately return in the near future.
