The decor of the room, attention to detail and quality thereof, for example snacks, tea and coffee making facilities, special power plug on dressing table, quality of bathroom products, but above all, the bed, linen, duvet and pillows were 'heaven'! Everything crisp clean as well. The best I've ever experienced.

Everything! The staff are great, the room is lovely (and warm -

Absolutely loved this hotel! I booked the Malmaison mainly for the fact
that it is a converted jail and that it was in a Lewis episode. It was a

both bartenders that we encountered were quite lovely! We were treated
really well by both gentlemen. By far one of the best experiences

We had a superior room and although the room itself was rather small, the bathroom made up for this. We had been left water and a bottle of the brewery's beer which was a nice touch. Staff were very friendly and although they were under pressure - the card system which allowed access to the rooms was not working and every time we wanted to go up to our room, a member of staff had to take us up three flights of stairs to let us into our room. I have stayed there many times, starting in the mid 1970'S. It
became a luxury hotel after that, and this is the first time I stayed in

The hotel was charming and inviting. The location was perfect for us. I was traveling with my daughter visiting another child that is taking a gap year and is in the Oxford Tutorial College. she was able to get to us and we got around the town wonderfully. The staff were all helpful and informative. The environment was cozy and warm which was greatly appreciated because the weather was chilly and wet. Would definitely recommend to others.
