    A real 5-star experience. The hotel excels at every opportunity. Staff are courteous and friendly. The building is amazing, the decor very pleasing. Our room was huge with everything we could need. So glad we chose to dine in the restaurant and relax after dinner in the Whisky Room where service and selection were excellent.     I informed the owners of my arrival time which was after their cut off, but they were there to greet us with a map of the city and some extra local tips.(other reviews suggest being left stranded by the owners, I would suggest these people didn't inform them of late arrival!) The room was spacious, and the bathroom spotless and highly functional ... what people say » (other reviews report tiny showers but I am a big lady and had NO problems at all! The beds were very comfortable, there was plenty of lighting, a TV, - The friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts were amazing especially the scrambled egg! It was great to be able to leave the car parked for our stay and walk to everything. We also found the information folder very useful. Loved all the photos of York around the place and Zoe was really helpful with advice on where to go and places to see. Helpful staff. - The bed linen and towels are lovely, very luxurious and comfortable. The breakfast is delicious, especially the freshly squeezed orange juice. The hotel is close to the city centre, around a 10- 15 minute scenic walk. There are restaurants and a supermarket very nearby. Walking distance to the train if minimal, easy to manage luggage. Staff were excellent. Highly recommend this hotel, it is very beautiful.

    We liked the building, which had much character. Our room was in the attic with a lovely view to the Minster.We could sit in our bed with our morning cuppa and view across.Very clean room and a huge comfortable bed. A nice size bathroom. Cellar bar was good for a meal, or a cosy night cap after visiting the city. Staff friendly and helpful with a smile! Everything was so - The room was glorious - very comfortable, good in size, view of the Minster from bed, spa bath, radio with iPod docking station, tv with dvd player, excellent coffee and tea facilities in te room... Simply all you need for a relaxing break away from it all. The staff were super friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was very nice and the cellar bar with te beautiful outside area on the forecourt of the hotel was a lovely afternoon treat. The location couldn't be more central!

    We stayed in reubens court and the location is fantastic - only about five minutes from city centre, and there is a tesco express and morrisons local just up the road to buy food etc for the apartment.     Jamal met us at the flat - very simple check in process. Having an allocated parking spot was fabulous. A bit of a walk to use the lift, but worth it with luggage. The location was fabulous - so close to restaurants, shops, and attractions. Also, close to Sainsbury. The location is second to none in York. The apartment was superb, eberything a family would need.
