Visited the hotel in August with friends. Hotel location is excellent for shopping on Buchanan Street- a couple of minutes walk away. Also about 5 minutes walk to the merchant city area for pubs, restuarants and clubs. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendy. The receptionist gave us great advice on where to eat and drink. The bedrooms were compact but well equipt, comfortable and clean. The breakfast was of a good quality and served till 12 on a sunday. - Dorota

Used as a stopover between travelling from London and then onward by train to Fort William, the Carlton George is right next door to the railway station. It has spacious rooms and although aging a little is well maintained and clean. - Neill

I booked the RM hotel (Union St, Glasgow) for me and my friend to stay in for one night to attend our friends 30th birthday bash ....and then stupidly read the reviews AFTER booking i was more than a little worried and kept stchum telling my friend nothing of the horror stories especially the bed bug one!!! We were really happy with our stay it is by no means the Ritz but for £30 each right in the centre of Glasgow and next to the train station this is probably the best hotel i have stayed in fo - Vincent

This hotel is very central so easy to get to from railway and bus stations with a huge shopping centre right opposite and easy walking to major attractions, shops etc. I booked over the Internet and got a single room price of £40 incl breakfast which I would say was really good value for money. The room was a twin and I'd asked for one on the back having read other reviews about noise. There was a little noise Fri night but only to be expected in the location - just take some ear plugs if you ar - Alan

We flew to Scotland from the US in July 2005. The Glasgow SAS was our first hotel and we could not have made a better choice. This is definately the hotel-of-choice for Glasgow. The room was very quiet and extremely clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable (we woke up at 11 am- I haven't slept that many hours in years!!!) The hotel staff was exceptional. We did a last minute trip to Glasgow and decided to book this apartment as opposed to a hotel room. It was £90 per day and worth every penny. The apartment was immaculate with everything being of the highest quality. The full kitchen was filled with top quality goods and there was every item you would ever need! The furniture is very modern (not our taste) but nevertheless felt "homely". We were comfortable from the moment we stepped through the door. Located right in the city centr - Edward

Just returned from a 2 night stay checking in was a breeze room very comfortable and clean with all the usual amenities ie robes mini bar etc had a meal in the collage restaurant which was very good I found all the staff very friendly and efficent I will be returning and highly recommend the hotel - George

We've been to Glasgow before, but this was our first stay at Jurys Inn and we'll definitely use it again. Entire hotel is very clean and staff is very friendly. The rooms were very well appointed and the bathroom was clean. The shower was great and the bed was very comfortable. the restaurant was stylish and the food was great. For the price it can't really be beat. The proximity to local attractions was a major bonus as well. The only compliants were the TV was not very good quality and only got a few channels. Also I'm not from the U.K. so this seperate hot water, cold water faucets thing is annoy - Joshua

My husband and I stayed two nights in a private room - we had a set of bunkbeds and our own bathroom. Our room rate included the duvets, pillows and towels. The room was spotless and very basic - think dorm room or summer camp - with bunks, lockers, desk and a chair. There was not a telephone in the room. You can rent 15 hours of TV for a pound but if you turn it off, you forfeit any remaining time. There is Wi-Fi available for 24 hours but I forget what it cost since we used the free Wi-Fi - David

Location was perfect, very quiet at night, but close to all shops and restaurants, and walking distance from Hampden approx 2 miles - Fiona
