  Really friendly helpful staff, good value for money for central London, spacious, well furnished rooms (perhaps distorted because I was given an upgrade), the overall "feel" of the hotel. - we got upgraded to a deluxe room.Staff very friendly.Brilliant location.Room really beautiful.

  The room was wonderful but in part that was because I had 6/7 (both) access to myself. With only a small room on its own - even with an excellent bathroom - I would have found it too small for C21st expectations. On the other hand, the staff(a manager?) was wonderful, including letting me use the breakfast room to do some emails etc. and next morn... what people say » ing breakfast was outstanding!! Yes I will be back. It was definitely as described and definitely not a flat pack chain hotel room. It's position in w - So many hotels are identical, and I stay in a lot of hotels! It was really nice to have something that was out of the ordinary for once, yet still in a good location (right next to Kings Cross station) and with functionality ... free wireless etc. A great breakfast, an extremely helpful and courteous staff, overall it made a very good impression.

  Beautiful, historic building decorated in period style including the retention of fantastic (but tiny) lift with manually operated cage doors. Staying here made me feel like I was a diplomat! Friendly, welcoming staff. Free WiFi in my room. Decent breakfast.   Excellent conditions, nice and quiet, great rooms - not very spacey butone has to keep in mind it's Europe and the hotel is the formerresidence of a former British Lord! Great location: close to Victoriasubway and also within walking distance from both tourist attractions(ex. Buckingham Palace and Westminster) and stylish shopping area(Brompton and... what people say » Kensington). Very friendly and obliging staff. - A truely excellent hotel (luxury townhouse style) that deserves its five star rating. It is a very central yet quiet hotel with loads of charme and friendly, helpful staff. There might be no sauna but our room was furnished with lots of taste and the marble bathroom might have been small but it was always squeakingly clean. We enjoyed our stay there a lot and can recommend it.
