we liked the fact we were away from the main centre of town so no disturbed nights sleep and the tram stop was just at the end of the road so we didn't need to use our car for the weekend. Also the reception we got from staff was great very nice and friendly. -

Great Place To Stay. Went on spec checked other guest houses but nowhere near as clean and modern like Number 42. Ann the owner and her lovely mother made our stay great. The breakfast was very good. On arrival greeted by Ann the owner with tea and home made cake.
Made to feel at home, room first class everything you could need.
Breakfast was to die for, great variety buffet and full English,
Ann was a great host as was Mum would stay again.
Would recommend to anyone wanting to vist Blackpool.

Me , my wife and my 1 year old child stayed in this hotel during this weekend and I must say after reading an above review - I was very reluctant in booking this hotel! But because of the amazing price which was literally a bargain during this festive month! I finally went ahead with a weekend booking! And I must tell you it was the best decision

Extremely satisfied with the location just 2 min walking distance from the pleasure beach, south shore and the train station. We recieved a very warm welcome from the owner . He helped us find parking on time and assisted us with our bags.the staff was friendly , efficient and helpful. The owner and his family were very friendly! We felt very comfortable staying there. The hotel is very close to the beach and a tram station. I could see the beach from our room's window. I left the window open at night and let the lovely sea breeze in :) I recommend this place!
