My husband and I just had a wonderful couple of nights at Oldfields.
What made it so special was how friendly the staff are - making us tea/biscuits on arrival and when we got back from a long day out the following afternoon, and giving us helpful info on Bath (where to go, where to eat out etc.).

This was so much more than a b&b - the rooms were luxurious and the staff were so helpful - nothing was too much trouble - the breakfast was the best I've had anywhere - I would recommend this to anyone -

Our stay was extremely enjoyable. The front of the property was deceiving, looking like a small B&B from the outside but how surprised we were once inside. I regularly stay here because of my commuting lifestyle. Having stayed in all of Bath's hostels, YHA is definitely the best.. By far! It has so many more benefits and facilities than the others. The showers are actually hot in private wet rooms within a communal setting. I also like that there is a sink in all of the dorm rooms. Milton House was the cutest, nicest little B&B we have ever stayed at. It is beautifully restored and kept in perfect order. The room we had was their small double but we were forewarned on the booking site and it was perfectly adequate for an overnight stay. Breakfast was always hot and well presented. Seconds of toast/tea/coffee was always offered and no trouble at all. Bedroom was v clean and bed changed everyday.

Thoughtfulness for guests little touches such as fresh milk available to go with tea trays. crisps / chocolate available to purchase. A short walk to town, although walking up the hill (back from Bath) can be challenging if you have poor fitness. A cab from town only cost £6, which is a cheap alternative to walking up the hill.
Overall a wonderful stay and I would definitely stay at the Devonshire House again.
