What people say
When we got to Lakeside House we were personally shown to our room - No 1. The room was very roomy, comfortable and nicely decorated. The bed was huge! The location was brilliant - just a short walk to the centre of Keswick. Breakfast was excellent - particularly the Eggs Benedict. All the staff were friendly and gave us good advice on places to visit and names of good restaurants. We really enjoyed our first visit to the Lake District. all reviews »
Everything! Warm and friendly, welcoming, respectful, happy and competent staff, wonderful breakfasts beautifully prepared/cooked, decor restful with warm tones modern but not clinical. And the view from our bedroom window was truly spectacular. We will return without hesitation or doubt!
couldn't fault it over the 6 days we stayed. written by Christine, David's wife.
Everything, the ease of access to the town to the lake, the beautiful
position of lakeside house, amazing. The facilities were wonderful, food
was cooked perfectly and extremely tasty. We were upgraded to a
fantastic room(16) as we were on our honeymoon, the views were amazing.

The view from the room and location.
Everything was perfect.
The view from the bedroom window was stunning Size of room The staff
were excellent in the dining room.
Friendly & clean, good breakfast.
We honestly couldn't fault anything!.
A little bit expensive.
Not all windows would open & weather was very hot so could have done with more air.
Shower water flow setting could not be adjusted.
Parking a problem close to the hotel.
No dislikes.
Lack of a bath.
Limited breakfast time.
Walk up several flights of stairs.
Limited parking outside hotel.
Bit pricey.
Nothing springs to mind.
With space available I think an upgrade of bathroom size would be beneficial.
No hairdryer in room. In a 4* BB that should be a given.
N/a.
we were not offered a town guide to take around with us. there was one on the wall you could peer at before going out . These are usually provided by the town council free at the tourist office . The nice touch would have been to be offered one at the hotel.
nothing, it was lovely.
Nothing!.
Parking might be a problem when busy.
The weather!.
One drawer only to put shirts , jumpers etc , the other drawers were
silly , small and narrow The bed was small 5 ft that is not king size
Heating erratic We have stayed at many hotels in The Lakes and we chose
you because our favourite hotels were unavailable Despite the view and
convenience of being in the centre of Keswick we would not stay at your
place again.
Very over priced, for £120 I would expect more facilities.
