  Manager's response to our initial reaction.We had travelled over 300 miles and just wanted a nice place to recover so we were pretty grumpy. The rooms were spotless, an extra heater was provided and we enjoyed a good night. Breakfast was freshly prepared. He then said he would not charge us---I insisted we had been very comfortable and would rath... what people say » er pay. In the end we settled for half. We would stay there again. - The room was very spacious and comfortable, the decor was also very good. Despite the village of Heswall having no water all day due to a burst pipe locally, the staff and manager did everything they could to make the stay as seamless as possible It's a little gem of a find for me and I would highly recommend The 'Jug'

  We found Jorik on reception very helpful, recommending evening meal at Beafeater next door and changing the room to disabled one to help my husband.He was 1st class the room was nice and clean, met our needs overall a very nice experience. Would recommend to anyone - The staff were friendly,helpful and caring. They were clearly happy and motivat... what people say » ed. The quality of the food was excellent; much more expensive hotels do not deliver breakfast of this standard. Someone is running this hotel with skill and flair.

  We stayed here for my brother's wedding in Neston. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The restaurant also had good food and I loved the full English breakfast that was included in the price. The breakfast also had a lot of options for people to choose from. I thought the bed was really soft and comfortable, but I like s - We used the hotel as a base while we searched the area for somewhere to live due to our impending relocation. The Staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. The location was fantastic, so much so we are now moving in just down the road!
