Situated in Hastings town centre, less than a mile from Hastings Castle, Alexanders is a family-run hotel overlooking the Sussex Coast. The historic Old Town is just a short stroll along the seafront.
Alexanders is the perfect base from which to explore one of the oldest towns in England, famed for the Battle of Hastings in 1066. The High Street is less than a mile away, and Hastings Rail Station is a 10-minute walk from the building.
The bedrooms at Alexanders Hotel are warm and tastefully-designed, and many have views of the sea. Each one has a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi, and free parking is available nearby.
There is a bar area for guests to enjoy, and a full English breakfast is available in the morning.

What people say
The room was clean and recently refurbished with all the basic needs including internet provided for.
Breakfast was pleasant and very good value. I was able to check in late (9 pm) but parking was a bit difficult as no spaces outside and had to use a nearby car park underground but provided with a permit from the hotel.
The position of the hotel, away from the crowded area's, yet access to the main town and the old town was just a 5/10 minutes walk
away. The sea view from the room, access to the beach was less than 2 minutes away. Parking in the underground car park just 2 minutes from outside the Hotel was also good.all reviews »
The young lady on reception was delightful and extremely helpful.
The hotel was clean but perhaps in need of some tlc in some areas. But at the price we paid we were more than happy, it was clean and comfortable with an amazing view . Would stay again .
Location, breakfast - very nice breakfast. I always judge a full cooked breakfast on the sausage and bacon - both very nice and not the cheap bacon and sausage you get in some B and B's.
The staff were lovely and the room was clean, breakfast was really good. Excellent price. Let us leave our bags there on the Sunday day while we went shopping. Very much appreciated.
We loved the bed which was extremely comfortable and the cleanliness.
The breakfast room was also lovely and had a very cosmopolitan feel to
it whilst the breakfast was really good too.
We had the best time ate at a very near Turkish restaurant (Ada) and
then crossed the road to a lovely bar called TinTins which was very
friendly and had some great beer and cider.
Wendy and Keith are a very friendly helpful couple who aim to please.
It was a hot weekend and they did everything to accommodate us. Including 'dippy eggs' for breakfast.
The hotel was clean and comfortable. Friendly reception. The room was
spacious. Very good local information. Excellent location and great
value for money,.
Everything was excellent! Very friendly staffs! The breakfast was delicious! It was a beautiful holiday! ;) Only the Bible and the free shots missed. :D.
Very friendly staff and very welcoming owners. Quiet, comfortable and clean.
Owners couldn't do enough for you - very accommodating. Thank you !.
Room with sea view was on the sea front with 180' view of the sea & beach. Warm welcome on arrival & complimentary parking permit issued.
We liked the fact that is was close to the seaside and close to the Old Town; we could walk everywhere. It was also a comfortable room.
The rooms at Alexander's are all very nicely decorated and comfy.
The breakfast is lovely and Jenny is always very bubbly and helpful.

Clean, nicely decorated.
everything was good.
very very friendly.
Liked everything.
friendly hosts.
If I was staying for longer I would have liked more storage and a desk to work at.
Check out at 10.30am, could've done with a bit longer in bed. Totally understand why they need you out though!.
The only problem we had was that the bed was really near the radiator
and when we tried to turn it down it was still very hot so we didn't
sleep very well. Other than that no complaints.
I honestly can't think of anything we didn't like.
Leaving.
65 Stairs up to our room!!.
Small rooms & bad TV signal however, these are minor issues as spent min time in room & wasn't there to watch TV.
There was a bit too much carpet everywhere and for people with allergies it isn't ideal, but it was clean, so that helped. Rooms could be aired a bit more too.
No complaints really, other than it's a bit of a climb if you're
on the top floor after a night out.
As with most hotels the towels are very small.
The small fridge did not work but we should have told Wendy or Keith when we arrived but thought we could fix it by turning the arrow!!!!.
Three flight's up stairs. After a heavy meal and a few drinks.
,booked a room with a balcony but had no balcony, did not find out none of this until i turned up at the hotel.
No dislikes.
I had a single room and the shower room was a bit small, but perfectly adequate and it had recently been modernised with new fixtures and fittings.
The only negative we had was our room was at the back of the hotel with our window opposite an all night taxi office/rank. This was very noisy in the early hours of the morning with people shouting and swearing. Would recommend having a room on the seafront to avoid a disturbed night's sleep.
Breakfast too early on Sunday morning - 8-9am!.
Nothing.
No complaints at all.
Very noisy outside early hrs but not hotels fault.
Small room but ok for a short stay.
Wi fi only worked on the bottom floor. Owners said that it was due to be
sorted ou soon.
64 stairs to bedroom
Kettle lead did not reach socket, had to stand kettle on floor.
Hastings run down a lot of noise at night from the front.
There was a lot of noise during the night from a nearby club, but it was Saturday night and my room was at the back of the hotel. Things may be quieter on other nights of the week.
Nothing.
Bar area would have been nice
Would like to have been told there was no lift.
Free parking only between 1600-1100 next day. On the publicity for Hotel
it is clearly stated::::Free parking vouchers:::: Actual parking costs 4
uk pounds per day.
A little bit of 'nightlife"outside noise in the back bedrooms..
Small room
Noisy environs.
the weather.
Not a big problem, but there are steep stairs to the rooms.
Hoovering too early in the morning, breakfast also too early to enjoy if you like to go out in the evening.
A little cramped.
shame breakfast was at 7.30 too early for a holiday.
marked comfort down as noise from street till 3am sat eve.
Small things but makes a difference, one plug socket not working below
tv and wallpaper by the bed was pealing off.
no lift; not recommended for travellers with large suitcases.
