I thought our room was very clean and comfortable and the staff were all very friendly and polite. The breakfast menu had plenty of choice and what we had was very good. I would definitely stay there again. Very friendly and welcoming. A homely yet professional atmosphere. Most efficient and effective. Very nice people.friendliness of staff ad willingness to help us with drinks etc.

Nice welcome and my room was a good size.location. location. pleasant "Orangery" dining /breakfast room, good breakfast. nothing, this is perhaps the worst hotel I have stayed in, after the first noght I asked to be moved to a better room, it wasnt, I left. The only problem we had was when we got back from our night out was that we had to ring the bell for a long time for someone to let us in as the main doors were locked up. But this was about 3am so it was understandable. The room needs re decoration. We were unable to get a snack in the late afternoon as the restaurants did not open until 7pm. The bathroom was not very clean and literally falling apart, shower was awful barely a trickle of water coming out.A little chilly in bar and lounge areas. No separate bar, just a comfortable lounge area to order drinks or snacks via reception.breakfast services. very late in serving. choice of food was poor = we wanted fresh vegetables/salad - nothing with sauces. At breakfast on Sunday morning, a cat was allowed to wander freely around the dining room and was being fed by guests. I do not consider this to be good practice. No hot water, room grubby with wallpaper coming off, toilet sink virtually blocked, shower unit fell off the wall when we did try to take a shower in the barely tepid water. complained and got £35 off the bill, but total disappointment as we were looking forward to a pleasant night away.A lot of things and I am writing to best western about the various problems. No hot water, peeling decor.see above, this hotel was like my student digs 30 years ago, dirty, horrible and rubbish. The shower was terrible. No pressure. Needs updating.

The Kings Hotel is ideally situated for discovering Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire. Grantham has many shops and 2 main shopping centres. A large Saturday market is held weekly in the town centre. Near to the hotel is Downtown and Boundry Mills store, a major indoor shopping area and garden centre. If you wish to play golf during your stay with us we have reduced rates at Belton Park Golf Club and Sudbrook Moor Golf Club, both excellent courses. Other local attractions include Belton House National Trust property.

There are many tourist attractions within a short drive, including:

Belvoir Castle (6 miles) - a magnificent castle with splendid views over the Vale of Belvoir.
