Glasgow Guest accommodation

I booked this hotel as I was arriving late by train into Glasgow and getting a very early train the next day, so wanted something inexpensive in a central location. I was pleasantly surprised at how welcoming and helpful the member of staff on reception was, he give me advice about getting a late meal/take away from nearby Sauchiehall Street, and arranged an early breakfast for me at 6 am the next day ( which he served to me himself!) and even printed me a walking map to the station. The rooms were a little small. Georgian is at a busy intersection. Not a lot of room for parking. We parked at the back of the hotel which worked out quite well. Close location to many restaurants and stores. Don't understand previous comments as our stay was very nice. Hosts were very helpful in advising where to eat and what stores were around hotel. Hotel close to the airport which makes it very convenient. We enjoyed our stay in this location very much. - Zoe

We have stayed here twice, on both occasions we were off to concerts at the SECC, which is just literally a five minute walk away. The hotel itself is about a 20 minute walk away from the town centre, but that’s ok, taxi’s and buses run a good service. Maybe we have just been lucky but both times we have stayed here our room has been spot on, very very clean, comfy bed and spotless bathroom. The hotel public areas are also clean, if not a little confusing we seem to go up one flight of stairs - Clare

I went to lomond hotel on 5th september with my friends. We stayed there for 4 nights. we have visited there for the first time. The location was very great and the girl on the reception named "GORI" guided us about all the area and location. The receptionist was very helpful but the only thing was that they charged on arrival. It was also mentioned in the e-mail and on the reception that we have to pay on arrival. It was very easy to get buses from the front of the hotel. And c - Wendy

We stayed five nights at the Botanic Hotel. It was a wonderful experience. The location was ideal as we were visiting our son who was a student at the University of Glasgow. it was only 5 minutes walk to the Glasgow University. The room was comfortable and breakfast enjoyable. All the decor was very simple and beautiful. Wonderful stay, wonderful people. - David

This is a lovely hotel in a superb location for exploring round the west end, Botanic gardens and indeed to get anywhere in surrounding area. The hotel is charming with period features and bright, airy and clean rooms. It manages to combine the right mix of traditional, Victorian grandeur with a modern, luxurious feel. The breakfast was delicious and particularly memorable for us as we sat at the beautiful bay window as the sun streamed in. Very reasonably priced and would like to return in futu - Cynthia

The hotel was great and the staff where very helpfull and polite It is local to all shops, bars and restuarants. The rooms are clean and the breakfast is very substantial, sets you up for the day ahead. This is one hotel we will be going back to, we recommend it to all. - Roger
