We were two couples and after reading some reviews, I had my reservations about the sofa bed. Especially given that I am quite toll (1.9mts - (6.3 feet). Great value for money with an excellent location to visit the city attractions. Clean and well equipped with towels, shower gel, kitchen appliances (including a steam iron) and free Wi-Fi.
There was a brand new sofa bed in the living room. It was huge (about 2 metres wide) it felt like a bed and we had a good night sleep without problems.

It was very clean and the breakfast was beautiful. The staff couldn't do enough for you. Great for families as there was a fridge in the room. Great for couples or groups. To keep it in a nutshell - everything! We stayed in the triple room (Nr. 1) which is to the rear side of the building with garden view and very quiet. We left the window open all night. The room is equipped with a fridge, microwave, TV, etc. and tastefully decorated to the highest standard. We felt at home from the first moment on and they've secured their place in my Top-5-list of Scottish B&Bs. -
Dave and Susan were the nicest couple, who made you feel friendly and at home in their beautiful Georgian style B&B in the city centre of Edinburgh. The B&B is conveniently located; it's a 25 minutes walk to the Royal Mile or a bus ride of 5 minutes. The breakfast was exceptionally well organised with lots of fresh fruits, croissants, yoghurts and cereals, and many different sorts of baked goods.

Me and my partner had a wonderful stay at Brothaigh House! The location is great and the room we stayed in was very nice and bright with a lovely Victorian feel. The breakfast options were fantastic. Our family of 5 stayed in the large family room and were happy with the size of the room. The location was wonderful with buses passing by the front door every few minutes leading right into town. Free parking on the street was convenient. The breakfast in the morning was very good. Our hosts were great - wonderful with the kids and super friendly and helpful.
