Excellent location,Five minute stroll to the Castle .The bed was superb, very big and very comfortable.Excellent choice at breakfast.Staff very efficient. We had asked for discretion at check-in in order to surprise one of our party and they followed the request exactly.Would be happy to stay here in the future. - Elizabeth

We had a perfect stay at the Apex International Hotel. Our room was fantastic with excellent views of the castle and was very clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful and recommended some great restaurants for us. We had a brilliant time in Edinburgh and the hotel was the icing on the cake. Beautiful hotel with a lovely view of the hillside, quiet location yet close to the city centre. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful. Dinner was good although not a vast choice over the two nights. We will stay again. - Anonymous

I was born in Edinburgh and I found staying in the heart of Auld Reekie (the name of the old part of edinburgh city, royal mile) at the apex hotel just delightful if was taking a step back to my childhood and just 2 minutes walk from hotel Carlton Hill with its views of the city was absolutely breathtaking. - June

Very helpful staff, clean and well presented rooms, quiet environment. One of the best hotels I've stayed at for this price, would definitely return. Very comfortable room and bed.Great night's sleep. Room service fantastic, meal incredible. Probably the best hotel meal I have ever had, fillet steak is perfect and dessert was very indulgent and pleasing to the eye and stomach. - Eric

The staff were very helpful and friendly.The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was great with a good selection. The location of the hotel is quite far from the city center but there is a bus leaving every 5-10 mins from just around the corner. It takes about 20 mins and drops you right on Pinces Street. The location of the hotel also means you are away from the city center noise. - Clare

The rooms were nice and warm and very clean the room had a safe which was useful to keep and valuables room service was very prompt. A bus stop right in front of the hotel straight to town and to the airport number 12 26 and 31 all take you to Victoria street day pass costs £2.50 - Anthony

We paid the minimum and got the maximum in comfort with a freely given upgrade. The staff were very welcoming and were pleased that we were pleased. The bed was extremely comfy the room was fantastic. The location is excellent. Not one negative comment from this satisfied customer. The facilities/pool etc are lovely. - Paul
