There is NO better place to stay. The staff is simply wonderful... Especially Harvey! This is the most ideal location.. You are by everything! It made my hop on hop off tour kind of pointless because of the fact you are that close to everything...and the flats were fantastic!! The one on Blair st is updated and a bit modern while the ones on High St have more of that historic charm. I stayed an extra day because I enjoyed myself so much. They are very accommodating, helpful, and considerate. .
all reviews » 1) Location for sight-seeing. 2) Facilities included kitchen and washing machine in apartment. The kitchen was well-equipped for its purpose as a travel accommodation. 3) Separate bedroom, so if you travel with someone whose sleep schedule is different than yours, they will not have to wake you up. I don't know how much the company will accommodate your request, such as for a quiet apartment, but they supposedly do have different properties under their management, so it's worthwhile to ask. Edinburgh is amazing, one of my favourite cities. The apartment was in a fantastic location. Close to shops, restaurants and sights. We walked everywhere. The wifi worked well, the beds comfortable and the room clean. The staff were all exceptionally wonderful, with helping get our bags to our apartment and especially with my mother in law, who moved to a different apartment when 3 of us left. She could not speak highly enough of the staffs assistance. I would highly recommend staying here. The apartment is located just minutes away from the train station. The apartment staff are located just below the apartment and are very friendly and helpful. The apartment is very spacious and the appliances provided are all branded. Tea, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper, etc, are all complimentary . The most enjoyable part of the apartment is the great view of the Scots monument and clock tower while I am at the dinning table. Location is excellent. Right in the heart of Edinburgh located on the high street. This meant it was close to all the sites and attractions making it easy to get anywhere. Apartment is excellent value for money, large and spacious and provides the little things too- guides, maps, etc. Can't fault the place, we really enjoyed our stay!. Its was our second year at the festival and we were previously in George street and although only a another 10 mins away it really made a difference excellent position clean confortable and little extras in the room loads of teabags coffee milk shampoo hand wash etc etc we want to come back here next year!. Location, friendliness of staff, free wifi and fantastic facilities, suggestions of how to best use our all too brief 24 hours in Edinburgh, including fabulous restaurant for dinner. We also loved the spiral stone stairs to the apartment, especially because the host carried my bags up! Thank you so much. These apartments are really nice. We had to walk up a very old spiral staircase as the building was a beautiful historic one about 2 mins walk from the castle. Lovely and warm in some very cold weather. Edinburgh is great, don't miss the Camera Obscura and the very kid friendly National Museum of Scotland. The location was fantastic, very central. The apartment was very comfortable. The staff I met were very helpful. I visit Edinburgh several times a year and prior to this I have stayed in hotels. I will be staying in these apartment in the future as it was a very enjoyable experience. The apartment was immaculate when me and my friends arrived, there was more than enough space for a group of 9 which we were. The location was brilliant as we were minutes away from the station and only a short walk from attractions like the castle and also restaurants and pubs. location excellent just off the royal mile and within walking distance of everything and only 10 minutes walk although uphill from Waverley station. Able to leave cases at reception.Comfy apartment with excellent tv and kitchen facilites. Bed extremely comfortable. Great location, apartment is well furnished and very comfortable. It's a perfect base for any tourist to visit the old town as it is literary few steps away from any attraction you might want to see. And hey - they really have the wi-fi and it is fast enough. The location was superb and the building - an old Edinburgh tenement - had real character. The apartment was on the top floor and had outstanding views over the city. Excellent central location just off the Golden Mile. Walk to attractions. Well appointed flat, clean and modernised. Very well equipped with cleaning products, tea and coffee etc. Loved being in old town it's very beautiful especially the buildings. Also the bars and restaurants were excellent. We visited were in the apartment Friday & Saturday night and also the following Monday. There is a square at the end of the block where folks congregate and party until about 2 in the morning on weekends. 2) Bathroom has little counter space for your dopp kits. 3) No closet for hanging anything, just hooks in the bathroom and bedroom. The narrow and steep staircase. A bit noisy at night if you are a light sleeper. The toilet cistern filling right through the bedroom wall. Was fine as long as you didn't flush toilet at night. There wasn't anything as a problem to myself as such, the only problem is that due to having no lift and only stairs to enter into the apartment, I could not reccomend this to anyone disabled. Other than this everything was perfect. Previous comment about the hallway was exactly how we felt. Very dark, dirty, spooky and unwelcoming from front door of the building to reaching our rooms. Lighting and redecoration needed. The staircase is really steep and the fan is sometimes really heard in the night - at least at the first floor where we stayed. Alas the convenience of being on the Royal Mile comes with a price - the cafes and pubs on the street below (Blair Street in this case) operate well into the wee hours of the morning. It was at its worst on sat evening, noise levels continued to rise into Sunday 3-4 am. For one who is no pub crawler precious sleep was hard to come by. Perhaps StayEdinburgh may wish to consider better sound proofing. Didn't want to leave!. Can't really complain about anything. The stairs are steep but it is an old building and it is something that you just have to live with. As long as you are aware before you arrive you can plan for it. The hot water was not very hot and as a result could not enjoy a hot bath. For some the character of the building might be off-putting. For example the tenement stairwell is very narrow and there is no lift to get up the steep steps. I loved it though. The apartment was on the 4th floor up a very narrow and tight circular stairway with old uneven stone steps. No lift. Carrying luggage can be a challenge and older people should confirm a room with easier access. The staff offered to help carry though. The room was nice but the bathroom was way too small. We could barely move around. If we had of been larger or overweight we wouldn't have been able to use the facilities, and there was no warning of this when we booked. Don't think we had any complaints, the only thing I could have benefited from was a hair dryer in one of the bathrooms. Noise from the Grassmarket area till 3.00 am each night. Road works and the tram lines being put up. Looked messy. Although we were not there to watch tv. It would have been nice to watch it at some point but it did not work. Shower toilet facilities in Flat 13 were far too small. Claustrophobic and impossible for a larger person to use the shower. Would not recommend this flat. No lift might be an issue for some people. The area can be noisy at night, and the entrance and stairwell were quite run-down. This gave a rather forbidding first impression. Some of the apartment fittings need minor attention: light bulbs blown, mains point not working, loose floor tile in bathroom. All minor details that would be easy to fix though, and not enough to stop me recommending them. Sharpe 10 check out or else fine 50 euro for half an hour delay.... 1. The entrance leading to the apartment was not brightly lit. Even in the morning or afternoon, it is quite dark. 2. Maintenance outside the apartment needed looking into. Small pieces of garbage and lots of feathers (birds?) lying around! 3. Please replace your elevator, though functional, it's a bit eerie and old fashioned!. We had to walk from the carpark to the agency office and walk further from the office to the apartment. While the distance is not that far, it's quite a hassle when you have luggages,a stroller and a toddler. However the beautiful apartment compensates for the trouble we had to go through. nothing. Couldn't get the washer/dryer to dry properly until last day. Too many steps--website says some units have a lift and we booked based on that, and when we inquired, were told there were 10 steps. Turned out to be more like 20 which was not good for a bad knee. People could see intothe diningroom so was slightly too close to the street. We didn't like the stairs to the apartment. Nothing really, it was great. Maybe the check-out could have been a little later than 10 AM. nothing. very poorly lit entrance staircase - could quite easily present a safety hazard for any age group. bathroom extractor fan and heated towel rail not working. water pressure to shower only adequate. The decor was a little tired and slightly musty but not enough to be a bother. The steps!! Some noise late in the evening from the street but only minor. Unusually hot in Edinburgh when we visited. It would have been nice to have at least a fan. Unfortunately didn't realise about access problems and we had to climb 3 flights of narrow winding stairs with our toddler and pram at least twice per day. Should be better pointed out on website re access. The entrance is not the most appealing having first to enter a typical souvenir shop and venture down into a seep rat basement booking office. Then it was back to street level and through an adjacent wrought iron security gate up the concrete stairwell before you enter your apartment. Rather unfortunate the washing machine was not functioning during our stay which is a bit of a bother. Stairs, but well worth it for all else the experience made available! Would stay here again in a heartbeat and would 100% recommend this place and these people to anyone. Decor was very dark and dingy. (i) No ensuite in the master bedroom although this wasnt a big drama as the appartment had two seperate toilet / shower rooms.
