Choosing accommodation in a city that you are unfamiliar with is always hard. We chose well as this hotel is brilliantly located in the "old " city right off the Royal Mile. Everything is within walking distance and the rooms are a great size with all amenities. The beds are lovely and comfy Choosing accommodation in a city that you are unfamiliar with is always hard. all reviews » Wow- fantastic hotel. We got it for a really good price through letsbookhotel.com and our stay was perfect. The staff were brilliant and so attentive allowing us to check in early and assigning us to a fab room. The room was spacious bright and colourful with lots of lovely added extras including free movies,mini bar drinks, robes and slippers. We also had a massage each in the spa centre which was fantastic. The location is more than you could ask for- everything on the doorstep!! Would defini. From the moment we stepped in to this hotel we felt like royalty. The reception staff were excellent and very friendly. The colours and design layout throughout was bright and airy. We really appreciated the free mini bar drinks and snacks and free movies which kept us comfy and entertained after our long days out exploring and also made the price of the hotel worthwhile. The only problem is that the high quality of this hotel meand we will be much harder to please from now on wherever else we . We were there during Fringe Festival and the location is excellent. It is a lovely interior, and if you love the Missoni look, it's a great vibe in the bar, restaurant area and in the rooms / bathroom. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Including the mini bar and drycleaning at no extra charge is a nice addition. We loved everything about Hotel Missoni, but especially that it was so well maintained and clean. The shining star has to be the staff though. They were so friendly and kind. They pleasantly accommodated our every request and were extremely responsive to any questions we had concerning directions, tourist attractions, restaurants, etc. It was an absolutely delightful stay!. The hotel was easy to find. We were met by a member of staff who parked our car. The staff informed us about our room and facilities The room was clean and well equipped. Each evening a member of staff came to the room to ask if we needed anything. As we were. Leaving very early in the morning a packed breakfast was made for us. We will return. The staff were terrific, and the mini bar, bed linen, coffee machine, toiletries and food were lovely. The reception on arrival was wonderful, and they went above and beyond to do things like make hair appts, find and deliver tape for a broken case, and wake us up by knocking when we left the phone off the hook and had booked a wake up. On arrival our receptionist took us to our room and explained all it's features. The decor was lovely and the quality of the bathroom / beds and sheets / towels / bathroom / complementary soft drinks in the fridge were fantastic. The restaurant was fantastic - the service was brilliant. Thoroughly enjoyed our 1 night overnight stay. From the moment you step out of the taxi there's a smiling face, friendly but not in-your-face staff are so important. The decor of the hotel is fun and fresh. The rooms are spacious and ours had an amazing view. Free soft drinks and nespresso machine...nice! The room had everything you need. Breakfast was delicious!. Absolutely everything. We loved our stay at Hotel Missoni and would definitely go back. The facilities were very comfortable and the location of the hotel was very central to all of the tourist sites. The items included in the price (tea/coffee, movies, washing, etc) made the trip feel even more special. The staff although very young were charming and helpful including the boys with legs!! The interior design is gorgeous; the room was really lovely and very quiet despite being at the front of the hotel; the staff were superb and the food in the restaurant was excellent quality and value for money. The locations is great, right on the Royal Mile. The minibar and wifi was free, you also get 2 pieces of laundry and movies on demand complimentary, you don't find that at many hotels. The size of the room was good, we had a regular room. The Hotel is in a great location, is very chic and contemporary. Room was lovely but a little small compared to other hotels- but this is trivial. If I was being very picky - then the road outside was noisy - but then we were in the middle of a city - so what can you expect. Not having a bath! Otherwise all was perfect!. I didnt like leaving at all :-(. We couldnt figure out how to get the heating in our room to be perfect, so one night we were too hot and the next a bit too chilled. Nothing. Even though thewaiter muddled up my maincourse for dinner which I said I woud eat anyway he did not charge me! yum, yum!. Nothing, we love it. Dressing gowns in rooms should be packed/ folded then you know they have been laundered after last guest. Sorry prob just my OCD. The rooms could have been a bit larger, and the breakfast buffet didn't vary from day to day, which was very annoying. Everything was wonderful. the only recommendtion is that there was a little more selection on the breakfast buffet. for eg selection of fruit as opposed to a bowl of fruit salad. The only element I found disappointing was that the spa was for treatments only, they did not have a sauna or steam room or relaxation area to relax after a busy day visiting the city. Someone should repair the carpets in the hallways, if not but for future safety reasons. Breakfast seemed very pricey, but we didnt have it in hotel so maybe it was worth it. We didn't book breakfast as felt over priced and could get as good locally for nearly half the hotel price.... Loved the bar staff and decor but seating not the most comfortable. More TV channels needed – why no BBC4? And if the bar gets super busy service can slip slightly. But these are minor moans. There´s no bathtubs in the regular rooms. That´s bad, considering the price. Can't fault. Hotel was quite warm. Very hot! Had to leave air con on in room most of the day to have a decent sleep. Wasn't clear enough on the website that breakfast wasn't included. Some aspects of design in need of repair e.g. threads on carpet, chips on walls/paintwork, not what you expect in a 5* and the aesthetic was primary reason we booked. I would have liked it if you had an actual Missoni shop in the hotel to browse in and purchase Missoni items, like the Versace hotel on the Gold Coast in Australia. - The room could have been cleaned better - Random timed house keeping calls. Nothing!. Stayed 4 days - took 3 to work out coffee machine - idiots guide needed. Nothing. Lack of a sauna / leaisure facilities - gym too small. On arrival we would of liked afternoon tea. No where in room info did it say we had to pre order this. Couldn't even get a snack in the bar at 4pm in afternoon. Bed a little hard. Not enough info on tv controls- had to switch to dvd mode to turn off screen. Staff in restaurant were very attentive..... to attentive sometimes. It felt a little intrusive. Nothing. The decoration is a bit in your face after a while... Can't think of anything in particular. Although our room had air conditioning, it felt a little stuffy and as the windows don't open, we felt lacking some fresh air Car park charges are a bit on the steep side.
