What people say
The appartments were fantastic - like a home from home. The rooms were all really spacious - a much better alternative to a cramped hotel room. The appartments are in a good location - about a 10 minute walk from all of the major sights. The welcome basket was also much appreciated. Would definitely recommed staying here for anyone visiting Edinburgh for the weekend. It is accessible to everything. It's only 10min.walk to the castle and 2 minute walk to haymarket train station.Thai, chinese and Indian restaurants are just around the corner.all reviews »
I arrived early and a member of staff came from another property to let me in and as my room was not ready, they put my bag in a safe place. freedom of self catering, cleanliness, 'extras' (such as use of computer and items for breakfast), safety - eg woman friendly. Good central location. Excellent quality and loads of space in the rooms themselves. Superb price for what is on offer. The central location. Also the fact that there was bread and breakfastcereal in place as a starter to our stay. The hotel was close to everything. Easy to get there on train. Washer and dryer in room was really great!. Spacious accommodation, everything we could want was in the apartment. Great value for money.Rooms spotlessly clean, staff on reception very friendly and courteous. Comfortable, very clean, everything you could possibly need. The convenience of having space and the great location. Very helpful in room change and luggage storage. the size of the room and the location. It was clean-very impressive. Excellent. The room was large, confortable, and really clean, I'm sure to use this hotel again for the next trip! Well- designed system kitchen was followed with almost everything needed for cooking and dining, (plates, kitichen tools, etc...), and quite useful. There was big screen TV, CD player, dryer, washing machine, and steamer in the room, and as the location was good for sight seeing .the apartment was great, 5 mins walk from centre and 2 mins walk from haymarket station. Loved that they provided a breakfast pack and tea/coffee, saved worrying about rushing out to shops. Friendly and helpful staff. everything you needed for a short stay including cereal for breakfast. A comfy double bed and room to relax and spread yourself out.Great, helpful staff. Fully kitted apartment complete with breakfast ammunition and other essentials provided. Nicely heated room (when it was working!). I would never have thought to look for a one bed apartment but it was fantastic, the amount of room it offered was excellent.great instructions provided, helpful staff flexible to our needs, location. the location is so central, close to the castle, the apartment was excilent. The Location is Excellent as we were going to a Rugby match in Murrayfield which is only a 10-15 minute walk from the apartment. It is also only a 10-15 minute walk from Princes St. There are a couple of good pubs (Haymarket pub) and restaurants in the area and it is a lovely part of town. The extra luxuries and small details provided by having an apartment instead of a hotel room, for a lower price. The location was easy to find and close to the city centre.Central location, secure, welcome pack, everything you need- dish washer and washing machine were unexpected bonuses. Suited our needs, good location and loved the bread thats left for you!!. Spacious, bright, fully equipped and well-located apartment. The space , the flexibility, the facilities. Spot on. excellent location and kitchen facilities. cleanliness. Fabulous. The welcome pack of essential food was great. The flat had everything I needed. The staff were flexible and helpful and let me leave my bag there after I had checked out which was most helpful.Everything was provided as a self service apartment. The breakfast pack was spot on. Very good location Good facilities and comfort, very clean, overall excellent. the ease of being able to come and go as we pleased, staff good, car parking. bread and milk etc in kitchen on arrival and guest information. Clean spacious. Parking at the Grove Road appartments. quite well, and I could spend comfortablly.Appartments are a great idea. If you looking for space, privacy and comfort. Kitchen and living room facilities.homely rooms and excellent service. Convenient and inexpensive. Superb location, only a gentle 7/8 minute walk to Princess Street, or less than £5 by taxi. Opposite was a good Indian restaurant, with a small sainsburys an other shops very close. Couldn`t fault the aprtments, although we were on the 1st floor, no lift on the premisies and another 2 floors at least. Overall very pleased with thr apartments and location. it was great to have an appartment as you had more space and you were not tied to meal times. Excellent value for money, facilities within apartment very good. Having our own self-catering facilities.location was 5 mins from Princes Street. loaction, pricem standard. Great location. Very clean. It does not have a 24 hour reception staff on duty in the office and the noise of the cars and buses at night...otherwise its a good place to stay... not so convenient if bringing own car. Check in can be very problematic. The reception area is only staffed for very restricted hours on the weekend (Sunday in particular). There is supposedly an emergency number but I have not yet found it. I ended up staying in the Premier Inn over the road for the first night!. Room was directly above a kebab shop - but it was OK after we opened the windows ;). Difficult to unload luggage because location on busy road and car park good 5 minute walk away. No hairdryer, no parking. Traffic noise on Morrison but moved to rear room for second night. The sink in the bath room was too small for washing face, but it was it was ok once I got used to it.there was no hot water for last day I was there, but in fairness to staff I only reported it on leaving!!!. it was a little noisy as the room was lookingon a main road but that is a minor thing beyond anyones control. The basement apartment was quiet apart from the rumbling of trains passing underneath to Haymarket every 5-10 mins, which shook the walls and windows. Also 1 day the cleaning staff left the only main window wide open all day long whilst I was out, which caused the boiler to fail the 2nd time!. the staff did not replace the frig stuff. The hallways etc are a bit dated and could do with a bit of modernisaton. There was a lot of background noise especially from people on the stairs and in the corridors. The communal areas apart from the reception could use refurbishment to bring them up to the high standard of the rest of the complex.Everything was great. street noise. Traffic a little noisey. Situation further out of town than expected.Dismal hallway and stairs. no lift!. We were upgraded from Morrison street to Grove Road, we would of liked to have been informed about this before arriving due to parking arrangments, and knowing where to.something like noise of fan. I was just anxious about it. The boiler stopped working on the second day, which was a huge disappointment. Reception could of been open a little while longer, the only member of staff i seen was upon check out.Lack of ventilation as the windows can't be open wide. The floors make a lot noise. Little further from City centre than we thought. Construction nearby...very noisy!. yellow bath water.
