Really nice hotel and the food in the resturant across the carpark was excellent. Free wifi is handy too. I would say this place if for the slighly older couple though (most people seemed to be older than us!). Everything - fax service; friendly, well mannered, obliging reception staff; the room was of a really good quality and high standard in its furnishings; breakfast services was awesome.

Quite a good breakfast, however providing a pot of coffee, rather than waiting for your cup to be topped up by staff would be better. The hotel was very good but the weather was unusually hot when we stayed there and the rooms stayed hot well into the night . The rooms were provided with fans. One of my family rooms had builders dirt and a broken shower pole, Staff were unaware until alerted. Another room was found but not until 3 hours later. Not a very good start for a family with a small baby.Compensated with a bottle of champage, otherwise all scores would have been excellent.loud boiler. Unfortunately, the kitchen was flooded so our lomg awaited full english breakfast was off. Perhaps a small refunded would not have gone amiss - everyone at breakfast was disappointed as that is one thing to look forward to in a stay away from home.Breakfast was very chaotic. There was a large wedding party staying and the breakfast facilities could not cope. This needs to be better planned but the food was fine. The resturant was not open for evening meal, and the breakfast was poor.Noisy people returning to their rooms between midnight and 3a.m. from functions in complex. My wife and I were kept awake both nights due to this. no gardens and only place to eat was at the pub over carpark. Seperate serving tongs where not provided for sausage, beans etc at breakfast. A minor bad point on a good hotel, but very annoying for those with allergies, vegetarian or perhaps just don't want bean juice on there eggs !. Even though situated next to a pub, when staying at hotels, I like to use the hotel bar, which was not open - I also like to use a pool which the hotel did not have.The bed was very uncomfortable, very soft. The window was too small to appreciate the lovely country view and plastic stirrers (for tea) and plastic cups, wrapped in more plastic, were supplied for water. no bar facility in main hotel.The absence of evening catering in the hotel - there is a pub. very close at handed but it was packed out with a wedding. In fairness I gather that catering facilities are soon to open. Unable to book a dinner reservation because it was fully bookedwhen I arrived. a bit cold in the bedrooms. silly but plastic stir stings instead of tea spoons. heating.
