all reviews » Food Very Good. Lovely large comfortable room with a magnificent view over the countryside. Good breakfast with plenty of choice so that you could eat as little or as much as you liked. I received a warm welcome on arrival and the friendliness of the staff was evident in the bar area, where I had an excellent meal, the staff at breakfast, and the cleaning staff. The room was also very comfortable.Peace and quiet, warm and comfortable, excellent size rooms, comfy bed, superb maid service and the breakfast was perfect. Bedroom was spacious and had all the facilities. Tour Cotswolds. familly party. Attentive staff and good service and excellent quality food. Good period hotel in a nice location. I did not like the taped music which played over the sound system in the hotel. We liked everything.It was too quiet, nothing to do, no sky/setanta sports, nobody in the bar as there was nothing to see or do in there and no leisure facilities on site. bit expencive. I t is not that I did not like it but - dinner: The service was excellent but the quality of the food was blnad. No. Evening meals were a bit rushed by over efficient service coupled with a high staff/customer ratio. the bed was the most uncomfortable i have ever slept on and the duvet and pillows not very nice.The walls of my room allowed quite a lot of sound through from adjacent rooms. The food was rather expensive but the bar menu was ok and we discovered that you could have this food in the main dinning room.Food ok but could have been better. We had a barsnack in the evening which we thought was over priced and of poor quality.Could do with some upgrading in decoration and while food quality and service was good the food in the restaurant was somewhat overpriced £17 for a Chicken dish or Pasta is way O.T.T. Woken very early by very loud water noises as people had baths, showers etc. Having to pay for the room only on arrival, and then all other costs added the next morning on departure. Poor choice of TV channels in room. No free broadband and limited mobile 'phone signal. Bar food bad and overpriced for it. Warm flat Coke Cola. Uninterested, almost rude morning reception woman. (re: below didnt see any guest reviews, where are they?).

Travelling information

Exit M4 at junction 15 and follow the A419 towards Cirencester which becomes A417 as you approach Cirencester (same dual carriageway). Exit the A417 at the Burford Road Junction (signposted A429 Cirencester town centre) and at top of slip road turn left heading towards Cirencester. At the main roundabout take the 3rd exit towards Stratton and follow the road for about 1.5 miles. Stratton House Hotel is located on the left hand side of road.
