The Abode Canterbury is excellent for disabled access, the rooms are beautifully decorated with luxurious fittings and it has an air of calm. The staff are exceptionally helpful and cheerful. The atmosphere of the the town and hotel was very nice. We all had arelaxing time during our stay at the Abode Canterbury.Very nice, stylish hotel right in the middle of town. I really enjoyed my stay.

It would have been useful if I would have been made aware of the limited space in the car park. I would have booked a spot in advance if I'd have known. Instead I was running every day to the car park to top up my payment.I thought the breakfasts were rather expensive and should be included in the price of the room. Very average breakfast for the price.Parking facilities (too small, only first guests got space). Small car park. Is not easy to reach by car.Car park was tricky to access - post code would have been good for lazy people (like me) with satnavs. Parking was a big problem.Bathroom was small and cold. Not sure I like beng called by my christian name. The car park neeeds to be tidied up; also better access from car park to hotel. I stay in a lot of hotels and always look forward to the breakfast. As this was not included in the price it cost over £20 for 2 and I did not think this breakfast was very good. The walls were very thin so you could hear the man in the next room snoring!. Location of car park. Approx. 150 meters from hotel and therefore awkward to carry luggage back and forth in the rain !!. not really just would love to hear about more deals that you promote from time to time, as would love to stay again.Very limited parking means quite a walk to the public car park. Soft bed. no breakfast included in the price. Restaurant (for eveving and breakfast) too expensive, we had breakfast out at one of the many reasonable Cafes nearby. We went away and came back three times to try and check out and stood in line for 25 mins. However, the poor girl who was on her own on the front desk was very apologetic and very sweet. lunch on Friday was disappointing.We were by car and to get to the Hotel's car park is extremely difficult. Also the limited number of cars able to use your car park is a slight minus. The walls of the rooms are very thin; we could hear very audibly,the couple in the room next door. The doors to the rooms closednoisily which woke us up several times in the night with peoplecoming and going.The room was clean and neat but we were put in the disabled room above the champagne bar and it was very noisy both from the bar and hearing people walking around in the corridors. The parking is quite away, away from the hotel and you are not made clear of that until you get to reception.breakfast could have been better for the price charged. when asked if they could make us a sandwich before we left they said they were to busy, and we stay at this hotel often.Lack of parking. We paid extra for a Desirable room and yet I think it was what should be expected of a standard 4* hotel room. We overlooked the back of the hotel and the sound of beer bottles being emptied into the bin by the bar staff was very loud. The cream carpet in the hotel room was stained but apart from that the room was very clean.The car parking is not easy,. The car park if full which it is likley to be as it only has 10 spaces becomes a public space a walk away which was inconvenient, the room was also quite noisy and you could hear a conversation in the next room spo its important to ask for a quiet room. Air conditioning was difficult to use and very noisy. If turned off the temperature of the room seemed to escalate although it was not that warm outside.

Travelling information

From the M2 - Exit the M2 at junction 7. Follow the signs for Canterbury. Abode Canterbury is on the right hand side. Limited payable car park spaces are available on the right. From the M20 - Exit the M20 at junction 7 onto the A249. Join the A2 at junction 5 and then follow the instructions above.
