We received a warm welcome, the breakfast was excellent and the room large, comfortable and clean. It cost us nothing to park and the local buses were frequent and convenient so we used our passes and not the car. Friendliness of owner and staff, cleanliness of facilities, off street parking, rooms decorated tastefully, delicious breakfast, wifi, close to town centre - within walking distance - and pretty surroundings.

Room was small and ensuite toilet/shower room very tiny and cramped, acceptable for brief stays such as ours of 3 nights. Mattress very old and worn, radiator in Rm 11 did not work - very very cold. Showers extremely bad (need de-scaling) and no bath as alternative. Too many people packing in. I found my bedroom a bit cold.Room very small for 3 persons especially toilet/shower. Only bearablefor short stay when out most of the time. The window in my room had been left open so it was cold even after this was shut and I had to use the extra blanket to keep warm at night. The walls are also pretty thin so you can hear other people talking and doors slamming. Given that this was such a small room, despite it being clean, it certainly was not worth the price being charged for it. Incredibly overpriced...this was a standard B and B with very small room and tiny en suite...for £108 I would expect a lot more. The toilet is very small, I can't even stand strightly when I was using it.The room was very cramped, especially the bathroom. We had intended to stay two nights,but left after the first night because of the lack of comfort. The bedroom was in a mews - 1st floor - attic-type room. It was totally inadequate to accommodate 2 adults. It was cramped with a velux window in a sloped ceiling. It was impossible to stand upright at one side of the bed. The ensuite was also cramped with no window or ventilation.it was never a 4* as i have been to better places at 2* very expensive even with the reduction that was given, could not call it a hotel, was more a bandb.
