The staff were very friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. We were made to feel very welcome and at home. Our room was amazing! Suite 1 has a four poster bed and a roll top bath in the bedroom with Jack & Jill handbasins....so much space. The main bar was busy and had entertainment however we did not suffer any disturbance. The restaurant was good with attentive staff and good food at a reasonable cost. Breakfast was excellent with a great choice and plenty of it. I would.
all reviews » Excellent Hotel, The Staff were excellent always willing to help, friendly and went the extra mile to help us on anything we needed. The Hotel was clean, easy access to shops and pretty well priced for food and drinks considering it was a hotel. Overall 5/5 we came all the way down from Scotland and couldn't of asked for a better stay! If the manager see's this give the ladies/guys a bonus. It was a convenient stop on our way North from Scilly with private off-road parking. The room was a good size. The staff were very helpful and the kitchen staff accommodated our special requests without complaint even when we changed requests!. The hotel was central to our stay in Cornwall,also we could leave our vehicles on the hotel carpark & use the local bus service for our weekend stay.The hotel staff were obliging,informative & the hotel ameneties were good. excellent stay. Not there to see Camborne but to attend the funeral of a friend. Would never recommend Camborne (my old home town) but would always recommend Tyacks to anyone who had to be there. My wife and I were upgraded to a suite as the kind receptionist told us that because they have live entertainment at the week-ends it can be a bit noisy !. Not much to do there are some other pubs in the town but they are a bit rough, Tyack's is prob the best place in town. There is a few shops which is helpful but not much to choose from. The bed was a bit hard and the road outside a bit noisy. Suggest requesting a room on off-road side. Were going to dine in on Monday night (Sunday had been great) but the dining room was empty and no staff around so went to Tse House instead. The only down side was the shower head which hadn't much water pressure but was hot and plentiful. Wifi (advertised) was very hit & miss!. absolute nothing I did not like. Quality of food has gone down hill since the last time I stayed. Do you source your food from your local supermarket ? Tinned mushrooms and wafer thin bacon is bad enough but your sausages look as if you have been cooking them since the evening before and they taste like it but they are barely warm. Would be disappointed if they served your breakfast in the services on the motorways. Nothing. Breakfast was very average. no pineapple juice for breakfast. all was perfect. Somewhat dark interiors of the old pub downstairs with excessive use of black paint.The dining area could easily be brightened up without losing its character. Bed was a bit small and floorborda creaked when guests were going to bed late. Lighting in room could have been better. Some mildew in bathroom. The TV's not working and the next room's bed hitting the joining wall in the early hours. Or maybe it was a ghost !!!. Nothing. Minor niggle bedside reading lamps had low wattage bulbs so difficult to read in bed. My evening meal on sunday was not very good, and more importantly, nobody seemed to care. Our room was noisy at night for a week day food a bit over cooked. Was not easy to find and twice as far out to the location visited than website suggested. We found it hard to get use to the bed. The breakfast! I had scrambled egg and it was terrible. Location a bit noisy. A little noisy, our room was over the roundabout. Despite requesting a quiet room our room was directly above the room where live music was being played. The duty manager said we would be called by the general manager but this did not happen. Breakfast was over cooked.
