  Great location, very close to all the facilities in Callander (including Ciro's Italian restaurant, where the food was delicious) - massive room, very comfortable, and the best breakfast I have ever had at a B&B. I've never had potato scones before, and they were fantastic. The owners are very welcoming - I was there for a charity cycle ride a... what people say » nd they really looked after me. - Spacious room, comfortable beds, excellent tasty breakfast, nice helpful hosts. The town center is few minutes walk from the B&B where we had pleasant dinner. It was one of the best stays during our week sent traveling around Scotland. If you travel by car and visit Stirling castle, we recommend The Knowe Guest House to stay before or after.

  My partner and I stayed over at the Abbotsford Lodge after attending a beautiful wedding at the Roman Camp. We had one of the double rooms at the top, sharing a shower room with other guests. The staff were friendly, helpful and accommodated our no feather bedding request with ease. The room itself was clean, comf - The host was probably the nicest person that we have ever met! Everything was great from the beginning when we found ourselves in the hall till friendly good-bye. We loved the breakfast with haggis, real feast in the morning!   The hotel was very interesting and had a real antique look about it. The bedrooms were well appointed with ;nice soaps towels etc... they even provided Sherry in the room...lovely. The bed was a kingsize madfe of 2 single beds... hence an un comfortable bit in the middle...I hate that but otherwise everything else was fab. Breakfast and service w... what people say » as lovely.... I cant waitto go back for afternoon tea sometime... thanks - The turndown service a night was a nice surprise. We loved also discovering all the different nooks and crannies of the public rooms. Delightful real fires in all public rooms including the dining room give a real country house feel.
