To start off I would say that you cant find a better location, a better sized and CLEAN room in this price, barring you plan and book atleast 2 months in advance. I had a wonderful stay here with my family (my infant daughter included). The management was very kind to let us use the kitchen for cleaning the baby's feeders and also use the milk for the baby round the clock. The rooms are very spacy considering the average size of rooms in the UK, are cozy, the bathroom is large with all the ame.
all reviews » Totally love this hotel. Located in a peaceful street. The receptionists are very friendly and helpful. My father left his phone in the room after we checked out and only realised about it when we arrived at the Bristol airport. I called the receptionist and she quickly run upstairs to the room and search for the phone. She kept the phone safe for us until my friend claimed it on behalf of us. And also we got a discount for our room rate upon arrival. What a great service they provided. Althoug. Lovely friendly and accommodating staff, always ready to help with a smile: you only have to ask. Simple red and white decor in my single room, comfy bed, table to write/work at with free wifi, a good size TV, and a spacious bathroom - much bigger than some places I stayed in before. Very quiet too. Easy to get to by bus from Temple Meads railway station, shops just up the road. Will definitely come back when next in Bristol. Very clean room, with ample tea making equipment, in a modern building. I had a single room, which was ideal for a one-night stopover on the way to Bristol Airport. The guest house was well situated for reaching the airport. The member of staff that I met on arrival was friendly, and as I was leaving before breakfast was due to start, gave me the opportunity to take what I wanted the evening before. The staff went out of their way to make my stay as comfortable and easy as possible. They were all lovely and it was like being at home. The room was fantastic. Far better than I imagined and very very good value for money. The breakfast was yummy and very varied and it was easy to get to. The bed was very comfortable. Went to Bristol for the weekend as I had a dj booking at a club there. Booked Malago a couple of months in advance and paid £25 a night pp which upon arrival realised we had got a great deal, spotlessly clean comfortable room and friendly staff. If I'm ever in Bristol again thats where I will be staying. Cheerz :). clean, comfortable room with really nice bedding (to include memory foam pillows) and big, soft towels. Also, nicely decorated and furniture in good condition. Great breakfast! Staff was really friendly. Bus stop to city center is just a couple of minutes walk, in front of Tesco. Good breakfast choices.. Decent sized rooms. The hotel is much more flexible than The Premiere Inn where they wouldn't allow 3 adults to share a family room. The Malago was fine with booking a family room for 3 adults which saved us having to book an extra room for one adult!. Very ,Very good value for money.Our stay was quiet, the breakfast included in the booking was also very good with lots of choice .Free off road parking. We would not hesitate to revisit.I'm sure we could have paid a lot more elsewhere and not been as satisfied. Graham.... The B&B was comfortable and for the most part quiet, except when the party goers came out of the pubs late and were noisy on the street below our room. The breakfast was always good and plentiful, though the room was crowded. The best key card system I have ever used. Clean comfortable bedrooms. Bath as well as shower and very hot water. Tea, coffer, iron and hairdryer, car parking all supplied. Quiet room at the back. Continental breakfast extremely well stocked with choice. Last but not least the price amazing. Very clean, comfortable and well decorated rooms, nice staff, handy for most attractions and routes. I've stayed here before and would do so again. I have a disabled friend who I may bring next time as he would find access easy in his wheelchair. Location on edge , so easy to get in and out of Bristol, with public transport close by. Room is quite small for a group of 3 people, but we are okay about it. The only bad news is no elevator to the upper level. The walls of the room were paper thin, meaning every sound carried. The room I had was on the main road, and on the night I was there, had lots of late night talking in the street, so ask for a room round the back! The bed was on the hard side but comfortable, and the pillow was very hard. As a result, I didn't sleep very well. The area in which the guest house was located was run down, with some seedy looking pubs around. I wouldn't have wanted to spend a holiday here, even on a budget. They only had one cot and upon booking I had asked for a cot but another couple had got it so I had to make a place for my little baby to sleep with pillows and blankets. She slept very peacefully and was happy but it would have been nice to have a real cot for her to sleep in. The windows needed adjusting as there was quite a busy road outside/noisy passes-by, at night.If you pulled the window closed tighter the soundproofing improved. The use of metres instead of yards for the distances in the room info file, for locating bus stops etc. Britain measures it's distance in miles and yards, which gives it individuality over the rest of the world!. The parking was cramped and a real chalenge to get into and out of. The traffic below our window made it difficult to sleep at times. There was no elevator and very narrow stairs. Didn't particularly like the area, but we were only there for the night, so wasn't a problem, although a good location for a day in Bristol. No cooked breakfast. Poor signage from road. No building number, no name coming from Bristol. Just a splendid horse mural which is not shown on website. Small name coming into Bristol. Fitted bottom sheets larger than mattress, so crinkles during night. The immediate area is rather run-down (though very easy to get out of). The house is on a busy main road, so can be noisy at night. It seemed there was inadequate sound insulation between rooms - bad news if you have noisy neighbours, which I did on my first night. Room bit small, but good for short stay. Traffic sounds on road facing room may be a problem for light sleepers. Couldnt connect to the free WiFi from our room. No cooked breakfast option, but we knew that already, so only a minor negative, I guess that helps to keep prices down. Not the nicest location in Bristol. We were at the front so there is some noise from traffic but it did not bother us too much. The parking can be abit of a squeeze. Small breakfast room, other than that all was fine. Our room was right on the main road and my partner was kept awake most of the night but she is also a light sleeper. Had some young people below who were having a party until early hours which spoiled my stay! Guest house should have a polite notice for noise after 12pm for the comfort of guests. Room was very hot as there was no air conditioning, but other than that everything else was brilliant. We were dissapointed that the computer access that was supposed to be available 24 hrs was not working on the both days that we stayed. Nothing it was a great, good value stay. Parking can be a bit tight- but remember- it's free!!. location not so good. A little too warm for me in the room. Computer in foyer for guests is an excellent service which I have used before but it was not functioning all the week and there seemed little interest in getting it fixed. no air conditioning - extremely hot during this weather. Parking. It was a bit tight, I have a small car and it was a squeeze for mine. Rooms at the front could be very noisy due to a busy road. Floor boards creaked and would easily keep people below awake. Breakfast! I Do not do continental. Possibly the location which was on a quite busy road but with the windows closed it wasn't too bad at all. Tight parking space. Carpeting throughout was marked. Breakfast finishing at 9.00 am weekdays. Having to request soap for the shower. Limited car parking access. Carpeting rather tired! Limited insulation from other bedrooms. However these are relatively trivial in context with the overall quality and value of the guest house). An associate could have explained me the buffet during the breakfast. Anyway I found everything by myself. Towels very thin and although clean, somewhat grey. Parking very tight. Parking - too small Location - far from the city Staffs - unfriendly, not professional. Noise, my room was at the front of the premises so was very noisy all night as it is situated on a main road so I didnt sleep very well, if I visit again I will ask for a room at the back. The checking out process is a little unclear. Location was a little run down.
