Very friendly attentive helpful staff. Reception area was very welcoming. The whole hotel was spotless. Excellent shower. Comfy bed. Amazing soundproofing - there is quite a noisy road outside, but we couldn't hear it at all, I was also surprised how busy the breakfast room was as we hadn't heard any other guests. Breakfast was reasonable value and very efficient. The guy clearing the tables was super fast. Very convenient to have a bar and restaurant in the hotel. We had a good evening meal to.
all reviews » i was very pleasantly surprised at how really nice the ibis was, i did,nt know what to expect but from my arrival to my checking outi could find no faults with the hotel or the staff. i whave since booked into both the ibis at swansea and at whitechapel london. i would not hesitate to reccomend the ibis hotels to my friends. This branch is like any other so no surprises. The beds are now not so hard so that's good. It's well placed near many coffee shops and restaurants. There's discount on the nearby car park. The breakfast was good especially the sausages but not the industrial scrambled egg. The staff were good at replenishing the supplies. Location excellent in the middle of river bank hustle & bustle. 4th floor very quiet for sleeping. Airport bus stop around the corner. City centre and dock areas pedestrianised with pleasing aesthetic water feature relief. Very lively with a great 'outdoors' sense for all age groups and people friendly and helpful. I was there for a night after a concert and the staff was really helpful and fast which is really great because I was so tired. The room was really comfortable for me as I was there alone and I would recommend it if it just for a night or two and you are either alone or with a small group. Very efficient and friendly staff As I was on my own I decided to eat in the Ibis and I was able to take the meal to my room. I was very impressed with the quality of the meal . Red thai chicken curry in a banana leaf, with fresh salsa and a naan bread. This Hotel was in a good position and plenty going on around the area. The room was all we needed, clean with a power shower. The staff were helpful when required. Free WIFI was a plus,Parking was spot on - alittle pricey if you stayed the whole weekend. Very convenient. for city centre - Colston Hall. Excellent choice of bars/restaurants within easy walking distance, Very good value for money. Clean, very comfortable beds, very quiet on a Thursday night. Easy check in. £40 - Difficult to beat. Myself and my friend were staying in a room next to a very noisy group of lads, they were very helpful in asking them to be quiet and telling us that we would have no problem changing rooms if we wanted. The staff were really helpful. lovely friendly efficient staff and booking system. good access to hotel in the early hours of the morning.very good security guard at hotel entrance,not menacing, but gave you the confidence he is good at his job. very clean hotel. Bed was best I've had in any hotel 4 ages the staff very helpfull an friendly an even tho we were dressed unusually being goths the staff were still very approachable and even spent time to show us where we planned to go out!. A clean compact room, with everything you need for an overnight stop. Great value for money and you are well within walking distance to everywhere. I'd stay here again next time I'm in Bristol. Excellent Central location for nightlife and shops and great choice of things to do around and about, both day and night and we didn't have to walk miles at end of night to get back to Hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The beds were very comfartable and it was a very quiet hotel, even though we were there the bank holiday weekend. Excellent value for money. Good place to stay close to hippodrome and bars clean and comfortable. Only one complaint that the bar closed without warning at 12 would have been great if we could have had another drink. You can check in at 12 and check out at 12 next day,the room was clean and the bed very comfortable,The staff were friendly,it was very good value next time im in Britol I will stay there. Everything. This is the third time I have stayed here. Staff efficient, friendly, and fast. I travel a lot and this has been a hotel that ticks all the boxes unlike some five star hotels. The fact that we were VERY loud at 5am in the morning, and the security/bouncers 1. Didnt kick us out and 2. Still let us out for fags. (Sorry by the way). 100% staying here again. As in many hotels, the toast was cooked on one of those conveyor-belt things that never toast it enough. A minor quibble!. absolutely nothing. I don't like the television in any of the Accor hotels. It may be good to have a few foreign channels but the set in our room had a very poor picture, very fuzzy after one is used to the clarity of HiDef at home. AND the picture takes a 4 x 3 picture and stretches it out to 16 x 9 so giving cut off at the sides and a stretched image so people look fat. Also no BBC4 (disaster) and no Radio 4. There was a strange smell coming from the bathroom at first but it disappeared after awhile. Not really a big problem. The floor was lino throughout and was very cold to walk on with just my socks on. We decided at the last minute to have the breakfast, after dishing up we sat down to enjoy the breakfast. Unfortunately the food was cold, we asked them to warm the food in the microwave, which they did with no problem. Later in the day my wife became ill and became Hotel bound for the Saturday, not sure if it was the cold breakfast- suggest the plates be kept warm and food temp raised. Nothing really - you get what you pay for. Really good basic hotel. if i am really critical the only things i didnt like were in the room i did not like sharing big bottles of detergents that you all use and that are fixed to the surfaces. also if you have minor mobility issues the loo roll under the vanity shelf is hard to reach,. That we were unable to smoke in room but hey how that's picky smokers r lepers aren't they!. Very small detail, my husband likes fried eggs for breakfast on holiday. Nothing. The price of the chocolate bars! 1.50 for a mars bar, or twix. My room mate. He was annoying. O and the parking price. Expensive. Housekeepers came in at 10am even though checkout was at 12 which we didnt really appreciate due to feeling a lack of privacy. Strange smell coming from the bathroom. Very small selction of tv channels and tv was really confusing to operate... I wondered if I was going to be charged a tenner for the hour of tv that I watched, thankfully I wasn't!. The expensive breakfast menu. heat/temperature in the corridors was so hot !. Minor things only: e.g. only three pillows in room so no good if you want two each (same for towels - only one each provided). Not much space for your stuff (suitcase) or for just sitting if on a longer stay. Nothing to dislike. The clearing of dirty plates etc at breakfast, took some time. That is only a minor point though. Internet access was incredibly expensive. Towels too small. The parking is close but very expensive. no comments. Quite small rooms all packed in felt quite like battery hens and thought it would be cheaper for that. But overall, I had nothing to complain about on my stay. A staff seemed unfriendly. Whilst what she was saying about unavailability of rooms was true it didn't come accross well. nothing to dislike. Would have liked to have been able to have dinner on site rather than going out to find a restaurant. nothing. no smoking rooms.
