We asked for a sea view and got exactly that. Could not have asked for better. Could lay in bed and hear the sea at night. Perfect! Breakfast was good too and on until 11am so we could have a nice sleep in!! Room also came with its own friendly Seagull which came to say hello from time to time. Brilliant!!. _Huge room, tons of shelf/storage/closet space! Nice beds, everything in working order. Clean. Shower worked well. The breakfast was good (full English breakfast without mushrooms, though?). Staff were really helpful. Great for staying there with a family.
all reviews » It was within walking distance of The Lanes, Royal Pavilion, Churchill Square Shopping Centre and the Pier. We went in January and the Hotel was nice and warm, had good menus and helpful and pleasant staff. We arrived early and our room was not ready. However, they stored our luggage as we went on the town. When we did check in they moved us up into a seaside view room!. cannot complain about this hotel, the staff were very helpful, the rooms very clean and comfy. best of all was the breakfast. very good selection of food. We were very happy with our stay, we had a lovely view of the beach and access to the hotel pool and sauna which were great.Excellent food, polite and helpful staff. We were given a free upgrade to a room with a sea view. Very spacious room. we had a free upgrade to a fantastic room no. t1, which had a lovley view of the pier, and was very comfortable. The use of lanes leisure club, it gave both me and my wife the ability to really unwind during our stay. The location was excellent, the breakfast was excellent and the hotelwas impressive all round. We were offered a non-smoking triple room on the first floor butopted for a smoking room on the 4th floor (even though none of us smoke)because we thought it would be quieter and a bit brighter. Excellent customer care during stay – we couldn’t get bbc1 or 2 and wewanted to keep up with the Olympics whenever we were in the room.Although the staff failed to fix the problem they were very attentiveand we appreciated the effort.The hotel was very conveniently situated. The room was always cleaned before our return from breakfast by a very friendly and efficient staff member. A fire alarm during breakfast was handled very well by the hotel staff. We stayed in the Tower 2 suite and it was absolute heaven - especially the decor. The stunning panoramic view of Brighton beach front and the jacuzzi made for a sensational and relaxing break.The seaview was brilliant and definately worth the additional cost. The breakfast was really good, especially becuase it wasn't too early!!. The location, facilities and value for money was excellent as was the inclusive breakfast. Would definately stay there again.The Tower Suite was worth paying the extra cost. Breakfast was included, and the room was magnificent. The decor of the rooms was beautiful, fresh and modern.The rooms were also very spacious.The central location i.e. near to the beach, the pier and The Lanes. Only minor complaint: the bathroom sink is one of those with one faucet for cold water, one faucet for hot water.Outside needs painting. one small thing....our room needed a new mattress. The hotel could do with a bit of refurbishment, but was comfortable nevertheless. THe swimming pool changing not nice to be in but I think it is to be done up so well done. Pool was also not as warm as I'd have liked!. There was a slight damn smell in the room which seemed to be coming from the bathroom, but I only noticed this when i first walked into the room. Not the fault of the hotel at all, but the proximity of late clubs and bars meant drunken screaming people into the early hours of the morning (4am) Then at 7am, the dustcarts arrived and for the next hour we were disturbed by the roaring lorry engine, the sound of bottles smashing into the cart and then the biffa bins being dropped from height back down.the first room we were given had stained floors and didnt fill clean, no car parking had to pay £15 for 24hrs. bit noisy at night from the fish bowl bar adjacent. Bath sides a little to high making it difficult to get out.Outside noise which I know is out of the hotels control. we didnt realise how noisy at night all night! brighton had become. lack of running hot water in the ensuite. even tho the staff were helpful would help if they smiled. Breakfast was only lukewarm and was the only disappointment. the breakfast staff could have been more smiley and offer their assistance. No parking. Double glazing in room was poor it was drafty, the room was on the side of the hotel near a night club it was noisey.no parking at hotel itself. No. Its just a pity that none of the triple rooms have a sea view!. Overall cleanliness was good but found the mouldy sealant around thebath a turn-off. Buffet breakfast although very good would have beennice to have been offered more choice of fresh fruit E.G. bananas/grapesinstead of melon and tinned grapefruit/pineapple and quality of fruitjuice was poor, very sweet and sickly.The decoration of the room was rather drab. Unfortunately we were late to arrive on the first day and wound up in a smoking room against our wishes. The staff, however, were very apologetic and made up for this with complimentary wine and immediate transfer to a non-smoking room the next day.The hotel was a liitle tired and could do with an interior face lift however again value very good. The lanes leisure club was aweful. Very dirty, run down, indoor pool was quite cold, change rooms terrible.The gym is an excellent layout but the cardio equipment seriously needs updating. Some of the treadmills were around in the 80's! The equipment is literally rusty.Such a shame because gym staff so helpful. Noisey people outside the hotel late at night.

The hotel is currently undergoing decoration on the exterior of the property, beginning with the west facing aspect of the building and continuing round towards the city facing aspect. Scaffolding will be erected whilst the decoration work is taking place. The hotel aims to keep disturbance to a minimum during your stay. This property cannot accommodate large groups of 6 people or more at weekends, such as stag nights, hen parties and birthday groups. For bookings of more than 6 rooms, a different cancellation policy will apply. Please note that bookings made that require payment at the time of booking will also require the payment card to be present at the time of arrival. Please be aware that the property may pre-authorise cards prior to arrival. Failure to supply valid card details, with available funds, may result in your booking being cancelled. The property no longer accepts cash payments and is unable to take cash payments for apartment/studio bookings. Not all room types are accessible to wheelchair users. Please contact the hotel for advice on your access requirements. Due to the style of the apartments building, there are steep stairs leading to the apartments and studio rooms, and no lift, which may not be suitable for guests with reduced mobility. The Queens Hotel and Spa building does have a lift to all floors, although not all room types are accessible to wheelchair users. Special menus will apply for all guests wishing to dine in the hotel on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, with pre-booking essential. The hotel will contact you with further information and prices. By Car: - Follow the M23/ A23 into Brighton. Follow signs for the City Centre and Seafront. - At the roundabout opposite the Brighton Pier, turn right heading towards Hove. The hotel is about 400 metres along the seafront (white building - look out for Pitcher & Piano and No.1 Bar & Bistro). - The nearest car park is The Lanes, located on Black Lion Street and charges per day. This car park is undergoing refurbishment so spaces may be limited. The nearest alternatives are Russell Road and Regency Square (all are within walking distance and come at a charge). By Train: Southern (from London Victoria) and First Capital Connect (from St. Pancras International, Luton and Gatwick airports). On Foot (from Brighton Station): Follow the road down to the seafront, then turn left and walk down a little further. You will see Queens Hotel in front of you. By Coach: Pool Valley Coach Station is about 200 metres from the hotel. Coaches are operated by National Express from London Victoria and Stansted, Heathrow and Gatwick Airports.
