Lovely hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had an inland double and the room was clean and bright, and warm on such a cold weekend. Very comfortable bed. The bathroom was very clean and the shower was great (although it is over a bath). The free parking was a bonus, and it's not far to walk to the hotel. The food was outstanding, the room was lovely. We felt very comfortable there. Will definatly book again. The staff were very helpful and polite, have recommend this hotel to my friends.
all reviews » The Hotel staff were very friendly but left us to enjoy the beautiful surrounding of the hotel, the way the hotel has been furnished is Brill ! i wanted to take the furniture home. We loved the theme and the overall decor, everything - the chef in the morning specially cooked my breakfast to a way that I asked for - excellent. the hotel seattles views over the marina and the sea are spectacular,the hotel is a very relaxing comfortable place to be. The meals were very good value. Praise to the chef for giving us such excellant meals, which we both enjoyed very much.everything - even had a sea view which we were not expecting as confirmation had said we would have an 'inland' view. Great location, wonderful sea view and clean and tied room. The breakfast was brilliant.We loved it all especially the food and the staff were fantastic andvery hardworking. not having far to walk back to hotel after attending a function at the marina. Quick efficient staff close to centre of town but did not haveroad noise. i liked the location and after my stay i would definatley comeback. But the receptionist couldnt do enough to sort it out, and did to our great satisfaction. Hotel was convenient for the event that we were attending in Kemp Town and we were able to have a nightcap on our return. I really liked the view from the balcony onto the marina. Mmmm no except I would put maybe aaa dvd playe in the rooms and morehanging space for clothes. But to be honest it was excellent. Found the hotel very warm had window open all night. no. None. Could have done with a bath sheet each and the parking in the mulitstorey was awfull - really busy (as its the only free parking in the vacinity) and the car spaces are just big enough for a mini but nothing bigger. our room did smell of cigarette smoke everytime we walked in, and we are non smokers!. Room was abit small.The breakfast wasn't variable. No A/C in room. No biscuits with the tea and coffee!!!. Some of the drinks / cocktails were quite expensive... Shelving over desk too low for anyone taller than 5'5" !! Ouch...No. The parking in a nearby car park was a bit tricky as we had no idea and had to go to reception which is on the first floor to ask , it was ok once you knew but information on the reservation would be good. The first room we were given had a ajoining door and we could here the guests next door as if they were in our room. As I have said this was sorted out though. Breakfast was very good or very poor depending on if the staff had been out the night before.I think some of them were worse for wear on Sunday morning. Queue for booking out. However the music from the dwelling underneath was too loud and quite disruptive on trying to get to sleep. Work being carried out in the lobby, without adequate Health and Safety notices. (Step ladder and materials). Room comfortable but basic. The parking arrangements could be better communicated on the booking site.The long walk to the restaurant and the price of the breakfast which wasfar to high at £27.90 for two people, especially when you consider thatoutside the restaurant the Whetherspoons sell a similar breakfast for£2.50. The tv in the room was something that I would watch if I was inmy garden shed. Far to small and completely out of keeping with the restof the room which was very good.
