Very high quality of the room and the facilities. Food at both breakfast and dinner was of exceptional quality. Very attentive and responsive staff; relaxed, quiet ambiance; excellent facilities, including gym and pool.Efficient service delivered swiftly in an inobtrusive manner. Lovely hotel, would definitely revisit. Very comfortable and well sized room. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

This was a very pleasant hotel, the staff were excellent at both reception and in the restaurant and bar. The facilities in the bedroom were also excellent and all present. I was there for a conference and it is a good venue for that.all staff were very accomodating. Everthing was as i would expect from a 4* hotel. I really enjoyed Sunday lunch in the Grill restaurant. The food and wine were both excellent. I also enjoyed the comfort of my room and the facilities in it. The facilities are top-notch and the staff are excellent, friendly and very customer-service oriented.It was a quality establishment and that was the feeling as soon as you walked through the door. Location - easy to find. Excellent food presentation (but see comment on price below). Very nice gym and breakfast. The position of the hotel was right for me, and it was comfortable. staff were very helpful. Good quality of food, drinks and room. The spa. Good service and pleasant staff. The staff were excellent in every respect. The facilities were much better than the last time we stayed there. The upgrade was a big improvement. Reception staff very good ,bed and bathroom excellent...room servicemenu and quality of food/coffee very poor. predominantly hassle free. room was very nice,. Cost of wines with meals was exhorbitant for the quality.A little out of the way. The room temperature in the restaurant area was a little too high. Quite a walk from the bedroom to reception and restaurant areas.I was not impressed at having to wait until 3.30pm before I could get into my room, when it clearly states that check-in is at 2.00pm. I do not accept that the reason for this wait was that the hotel was very busy and they were short staffed. We also had to wait over 15mins before getting a table for breakfast - again not very 4*. cold room took long time to get warm. Regretably, food served to me in the Pines Bar was poor and substantiated by other guests who had a similar experience with a particular choice from the menu. I shall be writing to the hotel seperately but thankfully it hasn't taken away my overall positive experience. Price of food and drinks, quality of food (steak). The hotel was undergoing a refurbishment, which needs to be done at some point, but I did not like that. Furthermore, there are no taxis immediately available at the hotel. One has to order at reception and to wait before the taxi arrives (max 15 minutes). Advice to the hotel is to advice guests that they should order a taxi in advance. Dry bread on the sandwiches. Service was slow in the resturant, and the food was only average, but quite expensive for what was recieved. Room was small and noisy fan from next room. We were not able to change our booking and take up the wedding party rate. No space in the Pines bar. Staff were quite rude an unaccomodating when we tried to stand in the bar area for drinks.booked a double room, got a single one. staff was not friendly to change my room into what i booked.
