Helpful staff, when there was a problem with the booked room ie twin allocated but double booked on web, we were upgraded immediately to a double suite room. Food and facilities also excellent. We have stayed at the Durley Dean on a number of occasions over the years and the recent refurbishment has certainly made a difference. The food was excellent couldn't fault a thing.asked for twin, found double but you kindly gave us another room at same rate, we appreciated, thanks, great stay, really comfortable.

The decor in the bathroom was dated, the sink was cracked, vinyl covering was hanging off the end of the bath, seal round bath was broken and had black mould. The leisure facility needs some refurbishment, the Sauna was not hot enough, the showers need a makeover and the water from the shower was not hot enough. Some of the food at breakfast was cold. The car park is quite small.couldn't swing a cat in the bathroom. Quite a hill to walk down to the bars and shops which wasn't ideal in high heels so had to get a taxi for the evening out.Room was very hot, no air conditioning. The parking is very very very bad, I have a disabled husband in a wheelchair and couldnt park in carpark. should be more than 2 disabled parking spots.Small car park. We where disappointed with the room size it was extremely small just enough room each side to get in and out of bed ! only to find a room down the corridor for the same price was twice the size with plenty of room to move about, not feel cramped,this was as far as i am concerned a single room with a double bed in it. I dont know how you justify charging the same money for two different size rooms. We were told that a night porter could serve food when we returned from our night out. We only ordered sandwiches reception told us it would be ready in 15mins we waited 45 it was much too late to eat.Managed to get booking put under wrong name on hotel computer system leading to a bit of confusion!, bed was really uncomfortable with several springs sticking out,. Room not ready by 3pm at check in. People were returning to reception to say that there rooms hadn't even been changed. The bathroom was tiny, and the bath was so small I couldn't get my legs in. The loo was dirty, and I cleaned it myself. The receptionist didn't order our paper for the next morning, even though she gave us the card to fill in. Breakfast was poor, and no offer of tea or coffee.We were given the oldest room, no heating and curtains that didn't meet in the middle and only came halfway down the window.

These remaining 47 bedrooms will be fully refurbished at a later stage.

- Follow the M25, then the M3, then the A35 into Bournemouth.
- You will pass the Asda and railway station on your left-hand side. Continue ahead, staying on the inside lane.
- At the next roundabout, take the exit left and follow the signs for Westcliff.
- This will lead you on to Durley Chine Road South.
- From here, follow the road round to the next roundabout, The Durley Dean Hotel is the red-bricked building.
- The car park is situated in Durley Gardens, halfway up the left-hand side. There is limited parking at the hotel, however there is a public pay and display car park opposite the hotel if required.
