I drive down from Wales. It's my third stay now and I love going back. The staff are particularly helpful and always so welcoming. Beautiful conservatory to breakfast in. It is also so easy to park there. I recognise that the owners are trying to create a lovely hotel. It seems to improve each time I visit and I shall certainly stay there again. Price is important to me too. For a small hotel, it was a large and very well furnished room overlooking the garden. The staff were delightful. Most generous breakfast, especially for vegetarians, free parking. good location. Lovely conservatory dining room.

Bath / shower rather poor because of problem with water system (apparently just repaired). Room was surprisingly small. bathroom was tiny - but to be fair, we did have a choice of two (similar) rooms. Unfortunately, the hot water at the bathroom in our room didn't work andthe pressure was very low. However, it was perfect in our friend's room.Did not recive full english breakfeast ( that mite because it was new years day!) and one of the rooms was a bit cold. Unfortunately there was no cooked breakfast which I felt was quite disappointing for the money we paid. We were only offered toast, cereal and tea and coffee.Hot water was lukewarm and low pressure on Friday evening and Saturday;much better Sunday morning after plumbers had been. Ceiling leakedSaturday evening - manager was as helpful as possible. At breakfast onSunday the grapefruit seemed off, as if not been kept in the fridge. Wehad the impression the owners had recently taken over and were doingtheir best to improve poorly-maintained building. Hot water supply was poor. cockroaches in one room. No shower in one room. Random pricing structure. Double room with no shower = 75, double room with working shower 66. Not enough staff and slow service at breakfast. Kept waiting. One man show - very slow service. Owner was in garden with some guests on arrival therefore we could not check in.

The Yenton is currently undergoing a refurbishment programme and rooms that have not been refurbished are listed as economy rooms and are priced accordingly. Check-In: The reception is open from 09:00 until 19:00 from Monday to Saturday (09:00-17:00 on Sundays). If you wish to check in later than this (Monday to Saturday only), please go to the bar. The bar is open until 21:00 (Monday-Thursday) and 22:00 (Friday and Saturday). Last check-in on a Sunday is 21:00. After 17:00 on a Sunday you may need to ring the hotel on arrival. For a later check-in on a Sunday, please check with the hotel before booking. Dogs are accepted on request and for an additional charge per dog.
