Reception staff and restaurant staff were excellent. Well done. Location and friendliness of staff. Friendliness of waiting and reception staff especially waiter Dave who worked cheerfully and efficiently under pressure and made all feel special. Staff very pleasant. Nice room with a sea view. Lovely breakfast.good parking and ease of tram and bus stops. peace and quiet, situation on sea front. Was very quiet, nice breakfast. Good location. pleasant room. liked the swimming pool and we had a nice big seaview room which was good. The friendliness of the staff. friendlness and comfort. Although I did not use it the facility of an indoor swimming pool is a bonus. (I had not planned on getting to the hotel as early as I did otherwise I would have brought some swimming trunks!. Disabled ramp at rear very severe - corridor to rooms upstairs was very tight - only just wheelchair width and with 1 step to negociate.The night porter when we tried to get back in the hotel was not verypleasant at all. Room and dining faciltities fine but lounges very dated and no comfortable chairs. Creeky floor boards. Uncomfortable mattress. serving breakfast was a bit slow. No smoking rooms. very dissapointed there was no entertainment on the saturday night we stayed,we looked on the notice board and there was all the other nights,this was one of the reason we choose this hotel couldnt understand why !!. The decor was very dated, the lack of a shower (we only had a bath in the room), the breakfast wasn't nice at all and the location was quite out of the way. the lift was out of order and we were on the top floor. Beds way to soft to sleep well we all found except for son age ten whoslept well. My late father once told me, that if you cant say anything good about a person or place dont say anything at all!. very uncomfortable beds. Bed sheets not changed since last month( i know stayed in same room). Room decor very old in need of refurbishment. One room was too hot. I was given a coach drivers teeny single room! Horrid1 but we didcomplain and the staff were accomodating and moved me to adifferent room. everything, the room was cold, creaky, toilet not fixed to the floor, bed mattress or should i say springs terrible,evry floor board in the hotel creaked.breakfast wasnt that great,offer full english breakfast but it wasnt that. Rooms need upgrading (out of date ), rooms very small. Breakfast was poor.
