Just spent a night here to go to a wedding and thought it excellent, as it is well away from traffic noise, its clean, the staff are great and the breakfast very tasty. Tiny issue, its quite hard to find - go to Lucas House reception - Martin

Stopped at pebble cottage when attending the Good Food Show, NEC. Having never been to Birmingham before was left with the decision of the price chain hotel in town complete with parking and traffic issues or small cheaper nearer the venue but out of town. Glad we went out of town! Pebble cottage is conveniently situation just a mile outside NEC next to marston green train station. Ross Bridge is a golf / spa resort that reminds us of Asheville -- nothing like this has ever been attempted before in Alabama. U.S. Steel owned this property for years, so it was possible to start with an open book. This golf course is possibly the best and most scenic of the RTJ Trail courses -- golf on a grand scale. The hotel is brand new, and the staff is eager to please. The facilities are unequaled by anything in Alabama -- better than Callaway Gardens and a bargain when compared to Grove - Anita

Central Guest House can be found on Coventry Road, on the left and just after the turning of Clay Lane if heading West on the A45. Be aware that there are multiple 40mph limits and associated speed cameras in the vicinity. There is a driveway to the front of the property that is accessed via a dropped kerb and can manage 4 cars without much problem. First of all - forget the other negative reviews pre 2009 as the hotel has been fully refurbished - with en-suite facilities as promised (separate bathrooms). We had our wedding here and the whole day can be made or broken by the reception, from food to staff. I can say the staff at the Old Rose And Crown really made the day special. The food was lovely, the staff attentive to your every needs (including providing a private room for a mother with a new-born baby) and the room layout was exce - David
