  The staff were excellent, especially as they were unable to find our booking which we made through letsbookhotel.com. They handled the situation very quickly and were able to make a new booking at the price we had originally booked. The rooms were very clean and we had an excellent view over Birmingham. Lovely spacious twin room, really cosy beds, excellent powerful shower, lovely massive towels...everything was spotless! Made use of the fantastic leisure facilities too - v well equipped gym, lovely swimming pool / sauna / steam room and jacuzzi. Highly recommend!!!

  The fact that the staff were focussed on the guests' needs at all times. They were obviously working as a team under the ethos that enthusiasm and professionalism establishes the standard of the hotel - and it worked! The concept of the hotel was interesting (an eye hospital transformed into a luxury hotel) and that difference added to its charm.... what people say » The food was fabulous; the beds were extremely comfortable and the atmosphere was not pretentious or overbearing. We loved the whole experience. - We used Hotel du Vin as a base for a hen party and enjoyed drinks in the bar, booked Afternoon Tea and a Cocktail Masterclass, along with the accommodation. All the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Location was perfect for everyone and suited our trip. A lovely weekend and appreciated the little touch of having the Hen's name outside the function room we were using for the Cocktail Masterclass.
