Very pleased with our stay here. The staff were friendly and the room was beautiful! It would have been much better in the summer to enjoy the stream next to the resteraunt. In the morning we decided to skip breakfast for a lie in, and when we checked out they asked us if they could get us anything to eat for our journey. The bathroom was a nice size, and everything was clean. The park and ride is very helpful as we didn't know bath, so we left our car at the hotel and got the bus straight in. .

We liked everything about the Boathouse. The room was excellent with a very comfortable bed, a good shower and bath, and good facilities including a Macintosh computer. The menu was varied and the quality of meals high, our compliments to the chef. We also enjoyed the ales. The on site parking made us feel secure and the park and ride bus service is a two minute walk which was very handy getting to and from the attractions of Bath. Highly recommended!. My husband and I stopped here for the xmas market in Bath. Hotel location is great park and ride around the corner. Room was excellent clean and tidy with the added bonus of balcony which would be great in the summer. We had a meal in the restaurant which although is not cheap we felt it was value for money,plenty of choice and all freshly cooked,lovely cosy seating. All staff friendly and helpfull.Will be booking to go back in the warmer weather. Very impressed with the management staff who I think were also the owners. They were very friendly and attentive. They seemed to really care about their guests and that they have a great stay. We stayed in room 8 which was very well designed and decorated which made our stay feel more comfortable. The Apple Mac computer in the room was a great touch allowing Internet, radio and tv access all in one. The food was extremely tasty and good value. The property is a short bus trip to the centre of Bath with a regular frequency of buses. The hotel is located on the bank of the river giving a relaxed country feel. All the meals we found to be high quality and well presented. The service was friendly and the staff engaged well with customers - guests and locals. With easy access to the attractions of Bath our stay was relaxing and enjoyable in a clean and well appointed room. I have stayed in closer to the centre of Bath on previous trips and now have found this place, I won't change. A far more relaxing way to experience the best of Bath in a picturesque location. Having a drink in the beer garden, overlooking the river at the end of a day in Bath - awesome!. The room was excellent - comfortable, quiet, modern and clean with great views over the river from the balcony. The boathouse served good food and the breakfast was great. The Boathouse is just next door to a 'park and ride' so it is very easy to get into Bath, or alternatively there is a very attractive walk along the tow path which takes about half an hour. A bus to take you directly into the main centre of bath. Parking is difficult in Bath so it makes it so much easier to have a bus at your door step. It is a charming hotel with very good facilities including a good restaurant. All bedrooms are a good size and recently renovated.We loved our stay here and would come again. Boathouse proved everything it had promised. Beautifully set by the canal on the outskirts of Bath, this is such a wonderful place to stay. The room we had with the big balcony overlooking the canal was immaculate. We had dinner upon arrival and loved the food as well as the service. This place is worth every penny, yet is extremely competitive. There were either staff members of other guests smoking under one of the windows of our room which, as a non-smoker was disgusting. The smoke was coming up into the room. If that is a smoking area then it needs to be relocated. Light in bathroom was a little dim. Thought the menu could have been expanded a bit more. Other than that can't really think of anything we didn't like. Nothing except the rain!. They made a couple of mistakes on my bill, and we were very disappointed by the breakfast. It took ages to arrive, and seemed to have been cooked and served without much care. Didn't like having to leave. Nothing. carpet and one of the cushions on the bed was fraying but only minor comment. suggest booking table for dinner as restaurant gets very busy at night but staff were very accommodating as we were hotel guests. The breakfast could offer fresh fruit and maybe a selection of pastries to enhance the menu. Maybe a lighter evening menu would have been good alongside what was on offer. Nothing. nothing. The bathroom was large but cold. The only source of heat seemed to be the towel rail which did not get very hot. The shower was very poor, it lacked power and was difficult to turn on. The breakfast itself was good but the service was dreadfully slow despite there being few guests. Only criticism would be that no switch or socket on both sides of the bed and as we were riverside only had doors to balcony so no windows to open at night. No Air con. Luckily we chose a superb weekend weather wise but it did get stuffy in the room. The evening menu wasn't the best and limited for the price. Lack of staff on occasion often when in need of something!. Noise from kitchen fan but it was turned off by 1130pm. Window did not open. Didn't want to leave balcony door wide open as there was access from the ground floor. Air con would be an advantage. We were not made aware of the two for one meal deal in the pub until we looked on the brewery website just before we left. Service a little bit slow at breakfast , would have been nice to have some fresh fruit. This didn't spoil our stay though :) Nothing to do with the hotel - Bath city itself was quite dirty, smelly and expensive. However we found a couple of pleasant tea shops and the abbey was lovely. nothing we disliked. Apple TV - VERY difficult to use & we consider ourselves IT savvie!. my only gripe was the bathroom.no shelf for toiletries etc .no lock on door and doors were a bad design for a personal space as you could look straight through them esp with a large gap between!but dont let this distract from a lovely building and great decor. Nothing. There wasn't anything not to like with the Boathouse. Shower in room 9 poor, just needs a replacementment shower head. Minor issues in the room. Other than that we were served cold soup at the start of a meal. Given an apology but should not of happened not offered anything to compensate for this mistake, I never made an issue of it as it was my 40th Wedding Anniversary trip and my wife was content. The TV in the bedroom is basically a MAC computer and takes a while to get used to (minor quibble). Bathroom in room 1 is quite dark and could do with a light over the mirror also there is nowhere to put toiletries. Not a big fan of swing doors into bathroom. Nothing. The service at breakfast was a bit haphazard. The food was good quality and well cooked, but serving unburnt toast and fried bread in reasonable time was beyond them.
