The breakfasts, including the service provided by the staff, were especially good. The room was comfortable, the bathroom/shower whilst not 'state of the art modern' was clean and easy to use, and the tea making facilities and toiletries provided were very good. The Hotel is well placed in the town, yet we found our room very quiet at night, with no disturbing road noise at all. Easy access to M3. Pleasant and helpful reception and bar staff. Comfortable clean bedroom and bathroom. Good information regarding Basingstoke the hotel within the bedroom. Pleasant entrance.

A spacious room; good beds; nice bathroom. good standards, convenient position, helpful staff. the breakfast were great and it was good that they were served until later in the morning which means you can have a lie in. you dont have to vacate the room until noon which is good too.very comfortable room at a very reasonable price. When we went to eat there was no chicken unless you wanted curry! There was roast pork and salmon - unfotunately I dont eat either! However the restaurant manager did save the evening by getting the chef to grill a chicken breast which was lovely!. our room was upstairs, there was no lift so we had to carry our luggage up 2 flights of stairs. Mistakes during check-out. Our bed was a little old and creaky and the room was very hot, even though a fan was provided.Price of drinks from the bar. expensive wine. The room smelt badly of mothballs and no amount of perfume could camouflage it! The bar was extremely expensive even a cup of coffee. old rooms, need refurbishing, balance quality versus price was not ok, to expensive for what you get. no fridge/minibar in room and bed was uncomfortable and cot was unclean. I liked nothing about the Hotel, Hiltons in general make you feel like you are constantly being conned out of petty cash. They over charge for everything, £15.95 for a very average breakfast in Basingstoke is just over the top.Bathroom was not very clean and the spot lights were hanging out of the ceiling. The neighbours could be heard clearly though a adjoining door in the room. The TV was not digital and there was poor reception. Also the bed was very rickety. We will not being staying here again, it seems you are paying for the hotel name and not for comfortable accommodation.
