It was very close to where our friends live - so we could walk to their home. The breakfast was VERY good. The staff were kind and friendly. We were made welcome. Friendliness of the owners. Quiet, clean, good food. Easy to find, convenient and value for money.Near the channel tunnel, internet access,. Bed clean and very comfortable.It was convenient stopping place for Dover and easy to find. It was goodvalue for money.

The room got very cold at night - but I must add that it was the coldest it had been for a very long time.Only that breakfast was not available at a time I needed to leave and this is not really a hotel but a guest house. no heating and I was a bit cold. You had to go around the outside of the hotel to enter the breakfast room. Wasn't a problem but could be a chore in bad weather!. My evening meal in the restaurant was far too expensive. £10 for a bottle of beer and a small vanilla ice cream and £9.50 for an average pizza.Television could have been better. Rubbish bin in bathroom full; ugh! radiator tap broken so bathroom very cold. Toilet seat not fixed correctly; moved when sat on. All fixable with little cost.The bedroom was noisy being over the main road and sadly, because ofa wedding we had to find somewhere to eat when we were tired fromour journey. Not always able to get tea and milk. There was a outside compressor for the fridge below my room window was a bit noisey during the night. Had to wait for staff to book in, then at dinner, in the bar and breakfast and booking out. Probably spent 1/2 hour in all. 4* hotel but not 4* service. Had to requet toilet paper and clean towels. Our room was never cleaned or tidied, and when asked to do so only the waste bin was emptied, this was over a 4 day stay We recycled our dirty cups by rinsing in the sink. Thr room didnt provide everything that it advertised. Thought too expensive. Noise - busy road and air conditioning unit outside with window jammedopen. No vegetarian choice on menu.They debited my account before I arrived. Blocked drain, first morning. Lack of hot water on second day,neededbedside lamps,cant find your way to the bathroom in the dark.General appearence of rooms is very poor, towels not clean and ripped!Rooms could do with redecorating. Continuosly running tap, no lounge facility. Bathroom very small, should have been called a shower room.
