You can easily access the Glens and Cairngorm National Park by picking up the Cateran walking trail from the hotel. Visit the majestic castles and palaces at Glamis and Scone. Alyth is easy to reach and is 30 minutes from Perth and Dundee.

My fiancé booked a surprise weekend away to the Lands of Loyal Hotel and we were not disappointed. It was our first visit here and certainly won’t be the last! The journey was over 4 hours….but very much worth it! We were welcomed in the beautiful reception and then through to the grand hall which can only be described as magnificent! Breakfast was so relaxed, no rushing to get downstairs between specific times. Taking in the breath-taking views of the hotels amazing grounds whilst tucking into a hearty and. This hotel is a bit of a find and could easily survive alongside any of the poshest hotels. One can be forgiven for thinking that you have stepped into a time warp when you step through the front door. The interior is tastfully furnished with antiques and the ambience of the main hall with huge marble fireplace framing a roaring log fire is extremely relaxing and welcoming. The victorian interior was clean and well maintained with our room being in a similar fashion. Cost wise, Premier Inn this. A very lovely hotel in a country setting with beautiful views from the rooms. Being family run a great deal of attention is paid to visitors comfort and the staff are all very helpful. No complaints about the food either and you get a big plate of food for your money. Lands of Loyal is an experience in itself and it's somewhere you just don't want to leave. Had to query price on Booking web site. Nothing. Very limited Vegetarian menu. Smallest bedroom that we have ever experienced in a hotel. The bathroom was almost the same size as the bedroom. Didn't appreciate the view of the fire escape or the excessive heat as the room was positioned above the kitchen. As the hotel wasn't busy disappointed in being given a poor quality room. Nothing.
