  the staff were very helpful. they gave us a very big room and it was on the first floor which was very helpful considering i'm pregnant and had two young children with me.there is a bar in the hotel which allowes children in it so if you fancy a drink you can relax with your children.   We arrived early,really only wanted to drop cases off but was warmly greeted and allowed up to to our rooms. We had a knock a few mins later to check everything was in order. The whole establishment was spotless and all staff very friendly, would certainly stop again and recommend to others. At the end of the road approx 400m is the bus stop that ... what people say » takes you straight to Princes street. £1.50 one way or £3.50 for "hop on hop off" per day. £7.50 for a Taxi.But if feeling fit could walk in about 20m - Although we could not take the room until 2pm we were able to leave our bags much earlier and have them moved to our room when it was ready so we were free to enjoy an afternoon in Edinburgh, which very much appreciated. Room was spacious and comfortable with all the facilities we needed for a short stay. Breakfast was decent and filling and at a reasonable time. The hotel is in the Haymarket area which meant a short and inexpensive train ride into the centre - so an excellent location with
