We received an extremely friendly welcome and the staff were friendlythroughout our stay. Room was clean, comfortable and welcoming and hadall the facilities needed. All reviews mention the famous carpet on the stairs, but my room was clean, roomy and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the meals in the bar were fine, and the location is excellent, opposite the castle, next to a bus stop and convenience store, and an easy walk to the railway station. -
