The owner, Tarkan was friendly, helping us unload when we arrived and he was there helping again when we departed three days later. We enjoyed the ambiance of our special cave room, and the breakfast areas too, Everything seems new and fresh and oh my goodness, such splendid breakfast each morning. Comfortable beds and furniture. all reviews » At first I was concerned when I found out the hotel is a bit far from the city center , which was fully my fault as I don't check the map , but when I went there I totally loved the place ! It's a real cave building with exotic surroundings and antique decorations . From the top you have a great view , fresh air . The staff are very nice and the service cleanliness and food great . The owner is very friendly and arranged for all tours . Would definitely come back and bring my friends . It's a g. Stay here for 2 nights and found this located a bit out of the town. But its not far at all to urgup, only 12 minutes. I have different experience of cappadoccia by staying here. The room was clean and decorated very Turkish ( i stayed in topuz room). the room is exactly like whats on the picture. The breakfast was so awesome! The 2nd morning tarkan made us a fried eggs with turkish sausage, taste sooo delicious. Tarkan was very helpful and friendly. He gave us information of what to see around. Beautifully restored country house about 15 km from Urgup, in a small village, in the middle of nowhere. Beautiful sunset view in a gentle breeze. Restaurant on-site, not much choice, but prepared with care; obviously good local wine, unfortunately so rare to find in Turkey. The host entertained us with amiable conversation giving info on the site, villages, country life. Only 5 bedrooms, some of them of superior quality. Good value for money. Loved the cave room - lovely and great shower room - huge!. About 10 km out of Urgup so you need a car. Only hotel in this real village. Great for a morning or afternoon walk. Tarkan so helpful and ready for a chat about the area. Came looking for us on the first day in case we were lost. Showed us way into town to change money and get fuel. So glad we stayed there. Almost forgot delicious homemade cherry and apricot preserves with breakfast. The place itself is adorable. Clean, well kept up and beautifully designed. The owner/staff could not be nicer or more accommodating. The owner went out of his way to help us arrange tours, our car, rental, etc. I emailed with him beforehand to arrange everything and he greeted me when I got there like an old friend. Warm, but not too intrusive - the perfect combination. - Friendly staff - Hotel location (beautiful rustic village) - Room rustic design. The decoration of the rooms. The breakfast. We can think of nothing we did not like. Maybe the sounds of the mosque in the morning that made me awake.. But on 2nd nightw i already get used with it so it didnt bother me at all,,. The last room available was in a real cave, what at the first moment seems an interesting new experience, it has a drawback, which is the very high humidity (obviously it has to be so in a cave); however it is not so pleasant. This is partially compensated, though, by the beauty of the cave, ethnic furniture, and a shower room that merits in itself the experience of a long warm shower. 3 of the rooms are caves or partial caves so some humidity - we opened the door for 10 mins after coming back and that helped. Not a problem for us as we loved the experience. The hotel is a little out of town. It is in a small village about twenty minutes outside of Ugurp. However, they arranged transportation and even for the car rental to be delivered and picked up from the hotel. Perfect for those who want a little reprieve from the typical touristy scene. The location of the hotel is so far from the all atractions in Cappadocia. Is totally impossible to do something after the tours, only if you stay in the city without take a shower, that isn't a good idea. The place is isolated (my fault as I should have looked at the map before booking). This made us dependent for local travel arrangements untill we rented a car.
