The Lounge Hotel was perfect for what we needed- close to the airport but with local shops,cafes etc. The hotel is well designed with large rooms and is modern and comfortable. The staff were exceptionally helpful. The manager kindly drove us to the shopping centre we wanted to visit - even though it was but a short walk away. It is a 25TRL taxi drive from Sabiha Gokchen airport- a journey of about 10 minutes with no traffic problems. Sarap, on reception was also very helpful.
all reviews » The staff were very friendly. The room was very spacious, clean, comfortable, and with excellent free toiletries (soap, shampoo, conditioner, hair gel, shave kit, etc). The breakfast was very varied with cold and hot items that were delicious and perfect to start the day. The hotel is right next to the sea so it had a beautiful view from the terrace when having breakfast. WiFi signal was very good. Our room was lovely, clean, modern. The shower was excellent very powerful. Everything you need is supplied, slippers, dressing gown, shampoo, soap, shower gel, shaving kit, hair gel, sewing kit, cotton buds. Not much around the hotel as far as eating places. The traffic was very noises, that is the only problem. In the letsbookhotel.com page they informed that they had airport shuttle service but, when i phoned them they said i had to take only taxi to get the hotel. Also when i e-mail them to ask about shuttle service they didn't reply to my e-mail. The receptionist was very kind but had little problem to communicate with English. noisy a/c. nothing around. have to walk 15min on dusty road to a mall. I wish the receptionists would speak english. They are happy to help and supportive and it is not their fault, simply the absence of a neutral language in common, sometimes can make communication difficult or impossible. Still, they are not obliged to speak english and we appreciated the efforts. We had requested for wake up and had requested for taxi to go back to airport which the staff had forgotten.... Luckily we reached the airport on time:). New (not easy to find). outside street noıse. room windows ısnot soundproof. little noisy because of the road. the breakfast can be better. None. On letsbookhotel.com the hotel is mentioned as a "non-smoking" hotel, but it actually isn'T. Don't forget to mention that you want a non-smoking room. It looks like it is in a scruffy neighborhood somehow. Staff spoke very poor English, no restaurants within walking distance, there own restaurant had very poor food!. Noise from road was terrible. neighborhood a bit sketchy nothing within walking distance. Service is poor and location is so much far from heart of Istanbul.
