  We were really happy about the apartment as we booked last minute. We were a group of 4 people and we wanted to celebrate the birthday of one of us in Istanbul. The apartment had only 1 double bedroom so the other couple had to sleep in the living room. The price was reasonable and it was near to the main touristic areas that we wanted to visit. ... what people say » The main bedroom was good and had a cupboard to put stuff and there was an air conditioner. The living room had a comfortable sofa bed which turned in - If you want to be close to the historical highlights, but avoid tiny hotel rooms in touristy streets, this is the place to go.   The Antique hostel is located in the middle of old city Sultanahmet among great number of other small private hotels and hostels, but Antique offers a peacefull neighboroughood for good night sleep after spending whole day wondering around Istanbul. Nothing broken, no bug - I came across this beautiful hostel through accommodation reservation site.having stayed at this hoster for a week I can confirm in my capacity as a hotel manager myself in the united kingdom this hostel is run efficienly by mr.helmey and members of staff are so friendly,offering their services and assistance all the time! Well done everyone at the antique hostel.no doubt I would like to go back to wonderful istanbul with that hoster as my favorite place to stay at.

  What makes up for the shortcomings of the hotel is the really friendly, helpful and nice staff. For the price, you really can't complain. Location is excellent as it is VERY close to the Hippodrome so it's easy to take short rests or a nap when u r tired of walking. Breakfast was also nice, not elaborate , but again for the price you paid, you jus... what people say » t can't complain. Was there for 7 nights, and except for the 2 roomates that i had, who talked and smoked all night, there's nothing really i can say - Yakamoz guesthouse is a very special place: the building is not big but furnishings is in perfect turkish style, and the atmosphere is really hospitable. Our room, was very nice, everything was full of coulors and original. In particular, the owner of the guesthouse is a very good person, he's lovely, nice and hearty. The building is very close to the centre of istanbul, so close to blue mosque and santa sofia mosque and grand bazar. I advise this guesthouse to everyone!
