  This is great value accommodation, in an authentic part of the city, close to many attractions yet sufficiently removed from the tourist bubble. Staff were friendly and helpful, even if we had to communicate in sign language ;-) The owner speaks English, is educated, open and particularly hospitable and welcoming.   A lot of thanks to staff!!! a lot, a lot!!! You helped me so much! I really recommend this hostel. Excellent location in the centre of the city. Cheap price for a single tourist. No noise. People write they wake up because of prayers in the early mornings. I slept and heard nothing (I closed the window)! Reception 24 hours (I arrive at 6.30am and... what people say » could have a bath and breakfast). Good Internet. But you need to know it is really simple rooms!!! - I stayed for two nights and was on my own. The room was very small, about 2x2m2 but I didn't need it to be bigger. All I wanted was a place to sleep at night and leave my luggage during the day. There was a double bed in the room, with a very comfortable, hard mattress, a sink, a mirror and a TV. There was also very good wi-fi. It was quiet and clean. Centrally located, super cheap, friendly receptionist. Perfect for me.

Considering what we paid for the room, we thought that this was one of the best deals in Istanbul.

Although the streets were very busy and noisy, you could close the windows and it was very quiet. Cenrally located, walking distance from the port and lots of restaurants.
