There was a free shuttle 3 times daily to Taksim Square and Sultanahmet, the driver was polite and very careful with the passengers' safety. The room was clean, had all facilities, we have really felt like home. The breakfast was rich. Nearby there is a supermarket and a few restaurants/cafes. It is close to highway. There was parking underground and outside in front of the hotel. The internet connection was good.

  We have stayed at Faik Pasha for two nights. This hotel is an excellent option in İstanbul. We chose this hotel due to the Taksim square protests. It is very close to İstiklal Street but it is located in very secure region of Taksim. The room was very well appointed, real boutique hotel style. The Breakfast - A classic hotel, which I've used twice before, in 1995 & 2005, before its recent refurbishment. It's now three times the price, but the grandeur is no longer faded, it's now a true 5-star place. And I'm delighted to say that the refurb hasn't spoilt its character at all, as this is a hotel with more character and history than most! Staff were great, we got a room upgrade, and an extra hour extended checkout wasn't a problem. If we return to Istanbul, it'll be the Pera Palas for us!
